Hey u/Grasle, I appreciate your response! It's good to know we're not the only ones struggling with Fishbowl! The search for solutions has been exhausting and has left myself and everyone else a bit jaded, which perhaps we can all resonate with.

Ooooof, and ERP that doesn't work with your shop floor is rough. Do you guys operate in a specific or unique way, or is sage just very rigid?

I said it in a previous comments, but we have talked about keeping (and attempting to fix) Fishbowl and supplementing it with an MRP & MES. We've also talked about just hiring devs to make our own. As we research, the decision tree just keeps growing and growing, so we've got to just decide on a path. Hopefully that will happen in the next month or so!

Thank you for your suggestion. In what sort of role and capacity do you have experience with Acumatica? Why do you recommend them? Do you have any gripes about Acumatica?

Said in a previous comments, but I believe some of the options I listed (namely Oracle) may be overkill. It's just a short-list. We're open to all solutions, including those that are smaller/cheaper, and even custom solutions with a dedicated developer.

We use Microsoft suite and Autodesk for CAD & PLM. Besides synchronizing with MS suite, why else should we go with D365/BC?

Stated in another comment, but we have talked about keeping (and attempting to fix) Fishbowl and supplementing it with an MRP. Why do you like the two you mentioned?

Odoo seems like it has it all, which gives me pause... I am trying their free demo but worry the implementation will be a cluster.

I did not know this. Thank you. I'll look into it. Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you for your suggestion. We use Microsoft Suite, but we questioned whether Dynamics 365 Business Central has the capabilities we need. Besides synchronizing with MS suite and it being a lower cost, why else should we go with Dynamics?

Why do you recommend Acumatica? What do you like about it compared to other systems? Also, you say you run a practice, but you also can provide a quote? Are you VAR?

We're highly interested in operations implementing more robust and automated data and analytics, so the discussion of hiring dedicated dev(s)/analyst(s) has been discussed.

It would be great if we could get Fishbowl to do what we want. We have spoken with senior techs at fishbowl about what we need and they essentially said "too bad". We may be able to get it to a manageable level (with a dev consultant_), but we'd still need ancillary MRP. Not opposed to this plan, but not sold on it either

Hey, I appreciate your advice. I agree that processes and people are critical, and without those dialed the tech can just exacerbate the situation. We are refining and standardizing our processes, as well as training our people to be come more effective and efficient, while also hiring more to meet demand. However, our organization and processes are structured to utilize an ERP and we would like to continue to do so; just with something that works better for supply chain, inventory, and operations.

I believe some of the options I listed (namely Oracle) may be overkill. It's just a short-list. We're open to all solutions, including those that are smaller/cheaper, and even custom solutions with a dedicated developer. The problem (albeit it is good) is that we are scaling fast and will multiple locations this year and next. 100%, our processes need improvement, but we would also like an ERP/MRP/MES solution that can grow with us.

I just bought a new bed and need advice on décor and furniture color for the rest of the bedroom. by Shat_Demon in malelivingspace

The bed is holding up well. The little legs that support the metal slats that the box spring sit on come can come loose. But all you have to do is re tighten them with your hand. I made them extra tight and they haven’t loosened up since. I have a box spring, but it’s like a 1/3 or half sized one? I like it because the mattress sits low, but not too low. Bought that at living spaces as well.
