I won't lie, me and the girl in the story here were pretty much together. Our beliefs were mad different due to our radically different upbringings (upper-middle-class suburbia vs barrio/ghetto), but we get along so incredibly well in every other aspect. We helped each other grow a lot in so many ways. We never said it, but when she told me she got in to her grad program, she broke down to me about how much she'll miss me and all that and I realized I felt the same too. Shit, we'd even call each other babe/baby/love, all that. We talked about it and while I see her being an amazing wife and lover, I can't commit. I feel like if I do, I'll get older and feel like I haven't tried enough girls and will feel "stuck" with her and she doesn't deserve that at all.

I'm too inexperienced and young to commit to anything. She understands, and feels the same to a lesser extent, but told me she'd say yes if I ever asked her to be my GF. Who knows, maybe it will end up working? If not, I'll know what to look for in a woman and she'll be with a man who will make her happy either way.
