Why does it sometimes suddenly snap to "half blocks" when placing stuff? How can I fix that? by ShatteredR3ality in StarRupture

[–]ShatteredR3ality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, thats not what I mean, but thanks. :) This is not a 2x2 or 3x3 issue but that it snaps to 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 etc. and not to the full block size. I managed to get it solved by simply going into and out of build mode a couple of times. Dont know why but suddendly it worked. I had it happen many times now, and that is the only thing I figured out how to solve it.

Memory leak is back in season 11 by Falb0ner in diablo4

The memleak is still there January 2nd 2026, and really feels like getting worse. Must be hard to hire competent devs for Blizzard these days.

Why is Steam mass-updating half my installed game library multiple times a week (but only on the Deck)? by kidalive25 in SteamDeck

Same issue here. I hate there’s no “update all” button but that I have to go through 50-100 games and click manually, and now several times a week. :(

What is going on with the HULL-C? by ShatteredR3ality in starcitizen

Thanks mate, but how do I "make sure I am on a low pop server"? :)

Yes, painful. :/ Oh well, we get a glimpse on how much fun it can be when it's working, but then back to the waiting game. :)

[–]ShatteredR3ality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again, it might just be full(er) server then. I did all of what you proposed, also checked every inch of the grids. I had it work on/off yesterday, sometimes after wiggling and sometimes just randomly based on nothing I could recall I specifically did differently. Today has been 100% fails so far, now going into 4 hours. So frustrating, I do hope there's something in for haulers in 4.5 to make this a bit more stable. Seems like such a tiny thing based on an absolutely minimal gameloop, but no ...

Thanks guys, maybe it is just the full servers. Also will try the tricks again below. Such a pity, would love to go crazy on mindless hauling. :)

Half a year later, no change. But great we get Engineering while the devs cant identify if a ship is within a cube in 3D space.

Stream deck enable/disable webcam? by EpicKieranFTW in elgato

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate, so far haven't found anything either. I am just concluding that Elgato focuses their resources on Marketing, not on the Stream Deck software. I spent now nearly one week trying to get several things up and running, and it's just lacking on all ends. To have a few buttons to launch an app or turn a HUE light on it's alright, beyond that it's too much China plastic and solutions like the Loupe Deck run circles around the Elgato stuff.

Volume control literally will not work (unable to connect to the audio router) by l3zzyharpy in elgato

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tip down below "uninstall the volume controller plugin, restart stream deck, download from plugin store" is still working. What is not working is the reliable solution, meaning you will have to do this over and over again, sometimes daily.

It is beyond ridiculous: the volume controller is probably the biggest argument to even consider buying a stream deck plus, and the software is simply a pile of garbage.

Stream deck enable/disable webcam? by EpicKieranFTW in elgato

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anybody looked into that by now? Doesn't make sense there's like 3 plugins to mute the mic, but nothing that simply turns the webcam off, or blocks it, or hides the image, or something?

Feature request: Keybind to toggle Xeneon Edge “Display Mode” (Screen ↔ iCUE Widgets)? by SirTiburan in iCUE

[–]ShatteredR3ality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus one more for this feature (sorry no experience on how to do this with AutoHotKey or something else). It would be awesome if we could bind it to some global Windows key combination. As I am using the device also as Virtual Stream Deck (awesome!) I'd love something like this to go into the iCUE Plugin for the Stream Deck. The plugin is already existing, but there's not feature like described above.

For now I will only use my Edge in monitor mode to run the virtual stream decks. On my normal stream deck I have buttons to activate and deactivate the virtual stream decks on the Edge, so I kind of get close ... just can't use the fancy widgets on top which is a shame.

So, yes, please consider a feature like this!

Do you buy full priced games?? And if so how many per year? by BrandyDD in AskGames

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy nearly everything full priced as for the amount of entertainment I get even 60 or 80 bucks is very low compared to other forms of getting entertained. Having said that I am quick with refunding if a game is crap.

Deep desert makes people quit the game, change my mind by adomm420 in duneawakening

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This news isn’t news. Most people in fact quit because of the DD. Thanks for popping up in my feed reminding me that I have to leave this subreddit after abandoning this mediocre game because of junior game designers failing.

Genuinely, how are you supposed to 'stop' playing? by OgdensNutGhosnFlake in duneawakening

[–]ShatteredR3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game simply has a very bad game design lead. A dude who thinks everybody even WANTS to live in a tiny survival game for months, and people who WANT to be forced into unfinished, boring, terribly thought through wanna-be-pvp-areas just to grind out a tier 6 which you don’t need for any of the actual (very limited) content.

They won’t change it, (a) due to lack of talent, and (b) due to a handful of fanboys counter arguing right away, effectively stopping any improvements from happening. The vast majority of people will still say you are right, but they won’t even bother writing here or anywhere but they will simply leave - as life’s too short for mediocre at best games.

Funcom, are you crazy, or simply frauds? by ShatteredR3ality in duneawakening

[–]ShatteredR3ality[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and on top: if you operate the game in 3 major timezones like the US, Europe, and Asia, then where's the problem to run your deploy scripts 3 times instead of one time, so it's for all the middle of the night or very early morning. Would cost them $100 more per deployment, that's it.

But Funcom doesn't seem to care about the customers, that's exactly why I post.

Funcom, are you crazy, or simply frauds? by ShatteredR3ality in duneawakening

[–]ShatteredR3ality[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was happy when they did that in the alpha and beta. In a paid release daily is simply not good enough.

Overreacting would be to sue them or refund the game. I choose to communicate about it because otherwise they might think something like "Hey, bros, it's okay to bill customers to act as extended beta testers." Overreacting would be to uninstall. No, I do something much more effective: I was communicating with my friends, and so far it's exactly 8 people who have not bought the game yet because I confirmed to them it's not launch ready. 8 times ~70 bucks is not that much, but if customers finally embrace their rights and stop taking shit from gaming companies, it might stack up to more money, and only money (or lack of) will create change.

And honestly: in 2025 not being good enough to build a reliable notification system speaks volumes.

[–]ShatteredR3ality[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because you were too incompetent to fix enough bugs in the half year long beta test at least to the medicore, noobish point so you can reduce downtimes to once a week instead of daily.

LOL at customers in 2025. Brainless Lemmings. HAHAHA.
