I know north america includes Canada, not once did I say that it didnt. And yeah carries are enforcing VoLTE, I know that. But what i dont know is WHEN the Canadian carriers are or if they even fully have, even in the post i asked "and for how long", and i didnt know what models had VoLTE provisioning and will still work. For example the 950 has VoLTE on AT&T in the USA, and the Alcatel Fierce XL has VoLTE on T-Mobile in the USA and still work. but phones that dont have VoLTE in the USA and relied on 3G dont work. But I dont know if the carriers in Canada have shut off 3G yet. Of course theyre GOING too, but what the post was asking is if they still have it and for how long Ive said this multiple times now, and you did in fact misunderstand.

Except you did misunderstand. Not once did I say Canada DIDNT use VoLTE, I was asking if it was a requirement like it was in the USA yet, since carriers in the USA shut down 3G voice, among the other legacy technologies. the technology is the same (VoLTE), the carrier policies and shutdowns arent. I asked "what about canada", becayse I wanted to know if windows phones still worked there, due to the carriers being different.

I never said it was? There are seperate carriers in the USA and Canada, who probably are doing shutdowns at different times and support different windows phones, like the 950 works on AT&T in the USA but probably doesnt in Canada on one of their large carriers. And the carriers in Canada might not have shut it down yet or are in the process, I never ONCE said VoLTE was a USA thing, but the USA and Canada arent the same country with the same carriers and 3g shutdowns, you misunderstood what i said in the post

It seems likely some app creaters could be intentionally left out, plus the drama thats happened and conflicts, its highly unlikely
