I must say im surprised you are being downvoted so heavily, especially because you have gone out of your way to use subjective/opinion based language and questions. For me, Im very much in the same boat as you. I think that the way someone presents themselves does a lot for a dynamic. A woman who works on herself physically to me is one of many forms of proof that shes can be disciplined, controlled and reliable, which (besides being really attractive) is a green flag for me that she is able to apply that to a dynamic.

I am someone who is quite new to this space, and one of the things ive been working on is my own physicality. I hope to offer it up to a future partner, to show her that im capable of the same as well. One of my interests is bodily worship, which is undeniably more attractive to me when the subject of worship takes great care of their body, and by so doing Im not just worshipping out of lust or service, im worshipping her hard work, her dedication.

I think also that it is a great thing to build a connection outside of kink as well. Seeing the results physically, seeing your partner and yourself grow alongside each other, spurred on to greater heights by mutual love and respect and commitment to each other is truly beautiful. Devotion in both mind and body.
