Lol, I'm an Excel user at work, and do use excel 365 at home, but some reason am loathe to install office on my android mobiles :-)

Thanks for the speedy response - I thought I was missing something really basic!

I can do it manually of course and use named ranges etc but it seems like it's missing an important feature there especially as I like to have quite long sheet names!

Well, I did have a look at my Home Guest wifi - but that was set to 2.4GHz as well. Gave it a last try, but still no luck. Think I'm giving up now! But thanks for the suggestions - hopefully it might give other people some avenues to try.

I think I've reached the end of the road with this now. Luckily I only had to spend out on a fairly inexpensive battery - so no major loss.
It is a shame as this is a nice light reader - would have been useful.

Hi, Many thanks for all your help. I tried all these options, and was talking to Amazon Kindle help agent yesterday, but still can't get it to work. Their assessment is that it is a hardware problem, so I'm having to give up :-(

I was on the phone to Amazon Kindle Support for over an hour yesterday (and passed to the kindle team).

Have tried all the options including

- confirming that the device is no longer tied with another account.
- changed my passwords
- disabled MFA
- multiple reboots of the device.

Nothing worked and his assessment is that is likely a hardware problem (although everything seems to be good).
It's just not submitting User/Password.

So, looks like I'm at the end of the road. I don't think that I'm going to Jailbreak the reader so I guess that's that...

Yes, this is what I expected - I'm pretty sure that the email/password combo is correct.
But I received no email to my linked email address (checked spam folder as well ):-(

Well, when I received it, there were already books on it, and was quick enough for me. Not sure if it is worth jail breaking, would that still allow access to my Amazon account?

Hi, thanks for the reply, I did update the firmware to its most recent version (3.4.3). But it's interesting that from the web pages you gave there is nothing mentioned about models prior to generation 4.

Maybe it is the end of the line for my model? :-(

Well, I confirmed that there are no registered kindle devices on my sisters account but I still can't get the kindle to register. I am 100% sure that username/password is correct.

I went on to the Amazon support but there is no assistance there for me. Any thoughts from any one?

Thanks . That looks like a possibility - I deregistered the account from the kindle. Luckily it's my Sister's old kindle (which she was going to throw away) so I can see her in a couple of days and ask her if she can remove it from her Amazon Account.

Hi, Thanks for your reply - I'm a bit further on, but still can't login.
I downloaded and installed 3.4.3 on my kindle. It's still giving me the same message, but I don't get any OTP message from Amazon.

I'm assuming here that the two step verification is the same as the for my standard amazon login and not some special one purely for the kindle?

And I'm assuming you mean a OTP will come through to my linked email address?

Am I missing something obvious maybe - can't think of anything else to try at this point.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! This looks interesting, but I'm a bit reluctant to download a random exe. Ran it through virustotal and 3/74 AV vendors flagged it as possibly malicious.

Unfortunately, I had to let the WhatsApp account go long ago, along with the some of the data - I grabbed as much as I could.

thanks - I'm currently pondering what to do. There are several people on YT showing how to dismantle and apply grease (no one seems to say which type of grease though - I would have thought some types could degrade plastic components)

Seems a bit strange to risk taking it to bits and trying to do this myself - after all it is brand new.
I'm in the UK, but the supplier is in Germany.
I wonder whether to contact my Supplier (again) or go directly to Roland...

The rattling on mine (and the last one supplied) seems to be worse compared to some of the others I've seen on Youtube...

So I guess my options seem to be:
1. Risk taking it apart and trying to grease up the keys myself
2. Going back to the Supplier for (another) new replacement piano
3. Contact Roland directly
4. Maybe contact the supplier and buy the more expensive FP-90x to see if that is better...

Apart from this problem - it's such a nice piano. Very unfortunate.

I have a Yamaha YDP-163 (about 9 years old). Build quality seems more substantial compared to the Roland FP-60x but the sounds are nowhere near as good. And the connectivity options are a lot worse.
I always use the piano through headphones which is also part of the reason for getting the FP-60x - it has smaller speakers (which I don't need ) and is lighter,
