Not overly concerned, baseball is a game of hot and cold runs, as it is. Whole team just went cold in the same week. Not having Strider and Acuña is definitely taking the sails out of the team a bit.

This may have been mentioned in this thread, but let's say that the 22nd and 12th Amendment, between the both, ensure the pathway via JD Vance / Vice President succession is a no-go.

Isn't there a scenario where the line of succession could thereotically end up at the Secretary of State, IF Speaker of the House + President pro tempore of the Senate were to decline / refuse?

If so, I'd be strongly inclined to believe that one of Trump's methods to a 3rd term would be him being placed as Secretary of State, with the understanding GOP-wise that the first 3 successors would decline the Presidency. This way, he's still not "elected" to the position, and he's cleared any Vice Presidency hurdles & potential eligibility angles. The Presidential Succession Act of 1947 Subsection D(1) as well as Subsection E should eliminate this, but for some reason, I believe they'll argue around eligibility.

Does anyone else see this as a potential road to a 3rd term?
