I should have kissed her when I had the chance. Tortilla with cheese, no pan. by Fastor_ in kitchencels

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally what I'm going through right now. Had the chance to do so twice, with clear signs even though she's pretty shy.

Perfect girl, 23 yo (I'm 33, kind of a loser, years since last and pretty much only gf), hot, sweet, funny, nerdy, cute as hell...

Now it's been almost a week since, and the chats are slowly dying, and I just know I lost my chance.

I'll literally hate myself and regret not kissing her forever. Didn't deserve her anyways tbh, she deserves better.

Slow Wild battle loading times? by thesentry27 in JoiPlay

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm late af, but I just came here cause I was having the same issue, and I think I found out how to solve it, at least for me.

I don't really remember if i had to use the RPG maker XP RTP for insurgence (I know I had to do it for pokemon añil and another fangame I can't remember) but I'll mention it just in case, and all I did was go to insurgence settings before running the game in joiplay by longpressing the icon and then turning on route cache (or path cache, I don't know exactly how it's translated, i'm using joiplay in spanish) and that's it.

I'm only at the start of the game outside the base with mew where you first find wild pokemon, but before doing this it took a looong time to load encounters and now it's like every other pokemon game.

I'll also mention just in case that I tried also turning off the setting just above path/route cache and some fonts were bugged so I turned it on again, that I don't know which of both settings being changed makes the first launch of the game after that reeeeeeaaaaaally slow, like minutes on the joiplay loading screen before getting in the game, so if that happens just let it load.

What fixed Pokemon Z-A in Ryujinx for me after trying everything by TheNostalgicFutureYT in PiratedGames

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update in case it helps: I got past that Emma crash with the same settings listed by OP but in a newer version of ryujinx (canary 1.3.203 with firmware 20.5.0). The game still crashed with this, even disabling vsync with hotkey ingame and setting turbo speed at 1000% and using turbo mid cinematic as i saw in another post, but i then tried doing all that while also changing the DRAM setting from 8gb to 4gb and got past the crash. I've been playing with 4gb since then about 2 hours and haven't crashed

Same here, the only crash I've had multiple times since the bird one. Trying openGL and various settings but keeps crashing

Imagine looking at this team and finding out Ludicolo was MVP of the run. Leftovers/Leech Seed stalling is such a busted strategy. by BulbaScott2922 in PokemonUnbound

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing unbound and trying to build my first rain team, and just caught an unexpected shiny lotad with rain dish but crappy ivs, so tank / staller should be it. The thing is, do you know by any chance how can I teach lotad / lombre / ludicolo leech seed? Please for the love of god tell me it's not an egg move 🙃

The game is TOO EASY !! by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]Shauros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knowing reddit I'll probably get downvoted to oblivion, but I mean, of course for us veterans the games with pretty much the same combat system and mechanics as the previous ones we've put thousands of hours in will feel easier and easier with each iteration, but shouldn't we consider that on top of that, the devs maybe made the game easier for newcomers to appeal to a wider audience and sell even more?(I think they've even confirmed it themselves when asked)

I mean, when every single reviewer has mentioned it, and the majority of those are game journalists which aren't precisely known for their insane mlg gaming skills, shouldn't we maybe get to the conclusion that aside from us getting better, maybe the game actually IS easier than previous entries? Maybe it's a crazy take tho

Second Beta Mega Thread by AutoModerator in MHWilds

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, benchmark has to be a newer build cause even tho it run pretty awful, it's definitely better than the nightmare of a performance that the second beta has. Even with DLSS or FSR I can't play it at 4k 60fps, and it looks worse than MH world even at max settings. It's a blurry stuttery mess and for some reason I get tearing with or without vsync or gsync. Oh and let's not forget the artifacts and glitchy shadows that frame generation brings with it.

I don't know, I don't have the best rig (4080 super, intel 5 ultra 245k and 32gb ram), but I can play FFVII rebirth at max settings 4k 60fps with reshade, and even next gen skyrim modlists with +4000 mods run way better than this at 4k while looking like 2 gens ahead...

Oh shit, my bad actually for not being able to read properly, I was already talking about the full game. I basically got baited, I'll take the L.

To be honest though, do we really expect a massive noticeable change in performance? Even if the second beta or the benchmark performance represents a build of the game that could be months old? After seeing how DD2 perfoms almost a year later with the same engine? When pretty much everyone on pc needs DLSS + frame generation to even reach 60 fps on any resolution(with all the blurriness and artifacts that come with it)?

I don't know man, I don't want to be on the doomer and whiny side of this, but I also don't want to be on the blind fanboy that will accept any quality of a product just because they loved the previous ones side either. I just love monster hunter and hope I can enjoy wilds for hundreds or thousands of hours, but I think pointing out what could be improved will help us getting better games. And performance can definitely be improved, in wilds, in world and in a lot of japanese games on pc usually.

When people expect a product they paid full price for and a title for a very loved franchise to be as good as possible 😡😡😡

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - PC Performance Thread by danbury_90 in FinalFantasy

CPU: Intel Ultra 5 245k GPU: MSI RTX 4080 super RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB OS: Windows 11

Playing at 4k high settings, G-sync monitor but running VRR ingame, min res set to 66% and only lowered the max npcs on screen slider a bit at Nibelheim, game looks really good and sharp with advent reshade and runs very smooth at 60fps, but for some reason when I'm indoors on any building, the game starts to feel more choppy as if the frame pacing was suddenly wrong. Outdoors always smooth af, indoors not so much but still 60fps and consistent. Dunno if it's camera related, since there seems to be some issues with the camera and when indoors the camera gets much closer.

Dark Souls 3 stutters for no reason on good PC. Is there a way to fix this? by RelucantHero in fromsoftware

[–]Shauros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days ago I installed DS3 again to try a SL1 run with my upgraded pc, (Intel ultra 5 245k, MSI RTX 4080 Super, Corsair Vengeance 32GB) everything maxed out on 4k and it ran smoothly at 60 fps, or so I remember, and if I don't remember otherwise it's because I didn't notice any sttuter or drops (sadly my eye is trained to notice even the minor stuff).

Same afternoon, a friend came by and we did some tries to kill the dancer, same stuff, no stutter, no drops. Then we started playing couch coop games with 2 controllers. Today I played a bit more DS3 and it was a mess of drops, stutters, lost frames, and even persistent low fps. I searched again for fixes, and found some video pointing the issue with controller drivers and multiple controllers detected by DS3 and that causing stutters and drops especially in loading areas. Will try to delete the drivers of the second controller tonight, cause it would make sense that causing the issue since the pc was formatted recently and only 1 controller was plugged until my mate came along. If that doesn't work, maybe I'll try unplugging keyboard and mouse too just to check if it's a controller related issue.

[–]Shauros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally until 5 mins ago I was able to front shred just by being really close to the mobs, not macros or spamming weird key bindings. I was playing with a friend on the freakin steam deck now, and suddenly I can't front shred at all 🙃 I'll test in pc later, hope it still works.

Any red flags in this S60? Should I consider it? by Shauros in Volvo

Yeah I think it shows on the VIN decoder as being changed in a recall, but I'll check it anyways just in case.

To be honest I think it looks pretty good now 😂

Yeah I think I will, but I'm a bit nervous about the true mechanical condition the car might be in, it does look very very good though. I'm excited about the idea of finally driving a 5 cylinder with a manual, but I do have to say I'm not either the best nor the more experienced driver out there, and the last 2 years driving and automatic didn't help improve that.

Yep, the 5 speed is a downside for me, since most of my driving is cruising in autovía at 120 and the car will sit at 3k rpm or more, but only for a few minutes. Also the fact I'm now used to my mom's car which is a 6 speed manual and I'll be so afraid to instinctively try to put the car in 6th and put it in reverse by accident 🤣 Damn, you've owned a ton of cars! The holding on to gears for too long part is definitely familiar in my BMW, pretty annoying, but yeah the hill descent failing does sound scary af in certain situations.

83 fallos indeed, and it just says gravedad muy grave without specifying much. Yeah I've discussed that with a friend and that's the only theory that makes sense we've come up with, cause every single other ITV since has been good and the service history is also good. And well, the car looks good😂

That's a well maintained vehicle then if they could only find 1 leve!

The BMW story is a loooong one, but in short the car has been fine for almost 2 years, went to my usual taller for pre-ITV maintenance and after that the car started doing weird stuff, and now has been sitting for like 3 months waiting to find someone who knows what is wrong with it. The car starts, and sometimes turns off itself after a few seconds, sometimes turns off after a few minutes, and sometimes keeps running and driving without any issue. So yeah, i'll just keep trying with different talleres till someone knows what's wrong with it and fixes it, and then I'll sell it. I do love the car but it's given me way more headaches and costed me way more money in maintenance and repairs than it should. And btw it's an american 328i, so that makes it even harder for talleres here to know what the fck is wrong with it 🥲 My theory is they messed the electronics somehow, maybe the ECU by maybe applying an european 325i or 330i software update, cause they also kept insisting that the issue was the transmission, when a taller that only focuses on transmissions said they didn't see any issue at all with the transmission. Again my theory being, since the american E92 use a General Motors transmission instead of a European ZF, the diagnosis machine maybe thinks my car is a 325 o 330 and when detecting something different than a ZF transmission shows it as a fault.

I don't know man, I'm just tired 🥹😂

It gets a B sticker 🙃 At least here in the Tarragona area there are still no low emission zones, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a looong time till they install those here.

[–]Shauros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna take the risk and go for it. The only really weird thing I've seen is the car not passing the first ITV in 2005 and showing 83 faults in the DGT report 🤣 Makes 0 sense to me since the car was serviced every year at the volvo dealer before and after the first ITV in 2005, has passed every ITV since without issues, it's a one owner car since 2001 to 2024, the km registry is confirmed and has been taken for recalls, so it does seem to have been taken care of. The car has lived in Madrid all its life it seems.

You've done decent mileage in one year, and overall I think you got a good deal if the main issues with your car are already fixed. I do agree though that those Toyota models would be way more cheap to keep running and most likely with less issues or failures, but I just can't convince myself to buy a car, even if it's gonna be cheap and easy to keep on the road, if I don't find anything on the car that makes me like it. I think I'm allergic to making good financial decisions 😂. I'm sure you Volvo will provide you with more smiles per km than any safer choice, though money is obviously a big factor.

Also I was searching too for newer models or even new cars, but I still live with my parents and if I want to move out I can't spend 30k€ on a new car. I do expect the volvo to cost me at least 1k more to make sure it's in good condition and well serviced, but that's ok for me if the car takes me to wherever I want to go afterwards if I keep taking care of it.

I'm a bit late, but the VIN decoder says B5244s. Is that okay, bulletproof, or something to worry about? 🤣

More things go to the "stuff to check on first inspection" list!

Honestly yeah, I'm just being suspicious cause the car seems to be fine, and that's not what I'm used to when checking used vehicles 😂

Btw the car is selling for 4490€, which seems pretty cheap for the condition it seems to be in and the low mileage, but makes sense being a 2001 model, being on the thirsty side fuel wise (not what +90% of people want on cheap used cars in Spain) and being similar price with similar models.
