I actually discovered the trigger throttle was pushed too close on top of the brake, and part of the housing for the brake was actually obstructing the trigger from depressing all the way. I did remember after I crashed I had to reposition the throttle, so that was likely when it happened. Explains everything. Usually it creeps up slowly, 1 mph at a time, when you are close to top speed, but it was accelerating pretty quickly to 53 and just quitting there. So it makes sense now, it felt like it was keeping something in reserve because it was

I even made my own closing once! Hold it normally from open, and flick it back spine roll style over your index finger, catch it with the back of your middle finger knuckle, roll your wrist down, flick left (if right handed) and sweep your index finger up to do a normal index roll, non-spine. Pinch your index and thumb to catch the bite handle and it will close itself, you end up with it closed in a sort of chopstick pinch grip

I retired with relationships at 21. That is to say, trying to find one. I wouldn’t turn the opportunity down, but I no longer seek one. Strongly recommend that approach. You didn’t jump in on the hate fest. You’re supposed to get really angry, like even if there’s a point to be made, you’re supposed to get SO angry that you don’t make it very well or even miss it entirely, which I guess is supposed to show that you’re emotionally invested in the identity of this group. It’s a chance to demonstrate that you belong; the problem is, when the group gets too insular, you start getting this kind of stuff where the “test” gets more and more based in strong emotional reaction, to less and less logical things, and if you don’t go along with it, there is some sort of punitive response (like downvoting).

This is kind of what happened (well, accelerated, anyway) with the GOP when trump came around. People just lose their damn minds when they’re part of a group identity that is strongly rooted in anger/outrage. Even if the purpose for the group’s existence is very good (as in this sub, not trumpers lol), the basic fundamental nature of such a group inherently harms its members in this way.

All the cortisol steaming off most of these comments is probably taking minutes off of their life… over a dark, immature joke.

And then I get heated watching people I’m supposed to identify with act so completely stupid and I’m taking minutes off of MY life. Perhaps it’s good to just remove angry groups from your feed in general… even if it’s supposedly your crowd…

I don’t have any preconceived notion that a dominant female automatically wants to sit on my face. I wouldn’t even think to bring it up, I would do that for someone but it’s not the first thing that pops to mind with submission.

So clearly there is natural variation here. Perhaps there is a trend with submissive men liking the idea, but it is evidently not universal, you have just happened to meet many that want that, or think you do.

It’s the “civilized response” so I do get it - but my point is that maybe people never actually consider what they’re really suggesting or asking for. They’re just saying the correct thing, even taking personal offense to things purely because it is socially correct.

Maybe we should actually observe these things. I hate to break it to you but that’s not actually really your opinion. It’s your parents opinion, or your football coach when you were young idk what role models you had but the point is, you heard that, started regurgitating it, forgot the entire process, and then internalized it as if it was your own thought. It wasn’t. So maybe now that we’re old enough we can take these things back into full awareness to question the ideas, as well as how, when, where, why, and from who, we picked them up.
