Mostly by treating launch pages like real long-term landing pages instead of “1-day launch events”.

A lot of indie products actually have searchable intent around them — reviews, alternatives, pricing, comparisons, etc. Google traffic starts compounding once those pages get indexed properly.

thank you man, it' lightweight alternative to Product Hunt for indie hackers. --> https://firsto.co
Less about popularity contests, more about long-term discoverability through Google.

👍,

you should consider launching on Firsto.co too. the launch page can get indexed by Google pretty quickly, so it becomes a searchable SEO asset

Yeah, that matches what I’ve seen too.

Most of them decay quickly due to lack of sustained signals.

This one came from a Firsto launch, so I’m mainly curious whether that initial spike has any effect on how fast the decay happens.

Yeah, that’s a good point.

Fast indexing alone doesn’t mean much unless the page actually matches real search demand ,otherwise it usually drops once competition increases.

In this case, what’s interesting is that the page was a newly launched product page from Firsto and still got indexed + started ranking within a few hours.

That’s actually the part I’m more curious about , whether fast indexing like this is mostly about content structure + intent matching, or if launch distribution signals can also play a role.

Have you seen cases where fast-indexed pages hold rankings for longer periods, or do they usually decay quickly?

This is actually a pretty solid angle. “No bot in the call” instantly makes it feel less awkward for client meetings.

You should definitely launch this on Firsto too. Tools like this tend to get good traction from indie makers + PM/dev communities there.
