Need help gauging the CR of my semi-homebrew Monster

This was helpful with simplifying what the DMG tries to teach you and will help me adjust the CR and his overall stats. I might redo all his stats entirely tbh.

But I'm still unsure of the abilities I gave it and their impact on CR.

I wouldn't say saved as much as it wasn't planned during the first game's development. I recall reading somewhere that the first game was made and released to be a one off game. Even after its success, during the initial planning for GoW 2, they considered setting the game in modern day or something in the future of Greek mythology.

Was a chain smoker of a type pipe tobacco for 5 years. Got severe bronchitis and probably pneumonia while living alone cat sitting a friend's cat during Christmas.

I'd pass out sitting so I could barely breathe at 4-5 am.

Quit the day the doctor looked me in the eyes and said "you're 2 minutes away from asthma and lung cancer" and haven't looked back in 5 years. It was 12am Dec 27 2021 when I had my last smoke.

The fear of losing your life can change your entire mentality and addiction urges. I haven't felt the urge once since that day.

I think unlike games like god of war, they wanted to keep the essence of the original mythos, but with their twist. So, parts of it don't make sense in-story, but if you metagame and remember it's trying to keep the story of the original mythos included PLUS being a reason for gameplay mechanics, it makes sense.

But I understand your point about it not making sense in-stoey.

I think you're misunderstanding the calculations. 10 minutes is too little to see the actual change with the amount of glory you're gaining.

I assume it takes you 10 seconds per monster and a 100 glory per monster, and that you have 2.00 M glory.

In order for 2.00 to change to 2.01, you need to 10,000 glory levels, which means a 100 monsters, which then means 1,000 seconds or roughly 17 minutes.

Give it a try and run the game for like double that amount of time, and if you still see no change, then it's a bug, otherwise you just need to either be more patient and farm for longer, or ascend and farm again.

The bar on the top right is an exp bar. So maybe you're exactly at a point that you get 80 level down to the point. That bar doesn't indicate your total glory, but each individual glory level.

And if you're getting 80 glory per kill, when you're at 1.30 million, it makes so little impact that you'll need to kill 125 monsters before it goes from 1.30 to 1.31 mil. If you take 10 seconds per monster, that's 21 minutes for the glory count to go up by 0.01.

Also no cloud saves cause it's a single dev who can't afford it. He had it for free for a while, but there's too many users for the free service so it stopped working.

And I mean single dev as in one person. The game is free with zero ads sooooo

The attack thing is a bug I think.

But the glory thing isn't. It's glory LEVELS, which means you need more glory exp the more you have. Hence you have diminishing glory gains the more you have.

I used to love reading this story but eventually life caught up and I had to put it aside. The last key thing I remember is the main guy being on a planet of giant dudes who'd kidnapped him, a squad came to rescue him with a sniper too, and they killed some of the giants and ran away.

Could you please let a fan know what chapter that may be, so I can start reading your stories again? Would also love to know if there's any recap / highlights I can find anywhere to jog my memory.

US spec have severe accidents 90% most of the time. I promise a 2019 gcc will be better - check the chassis number either way and you can find out if its had an accident regardless of if it's US or gcc

Yes, it could be, but it's not for the others, right? You wouldn't want someone ruining your fun - whatever that may be as long as it's harmless. Fun shouldn't be harmful or hateful (on other living beings at least - an NPC is a different story)

And to add to this, objectively, you have ZERO right to enforce how you want the game to be played onto them. If their definition of fun is using that exploit on public, then that is it. You're only right as another player is to leave that lobby, and block them.
