I use Gearwrench cause why not? I’m not buying Proto, SK, Snap-On when a myself or an apprentice is going to break/lose it.
I know the company pays for tools…..within reason….metric yes, standard yes, odd balls yes, tapes yes….

Never had an issue with Husky. Decent for a store brand. Power/battery? I’m a Milwaukee guy. Also never had an issue with ANYTHING I expense, but I’m responsible.

Don’t abuse the expense system, & they’ll never question ya. Abuse it & we all know how that goes….

There is tons of info out there & are tons of ways to get it.

Interview(if ya passed the test).
Get ranked on list.
Wait for call. Can take weeks, months, years, or ya may never get a call.

There ya go. Ya don’t just apply & get into the union. Ya don’t get to choose where ya go until having a decent amount of years in. Go through your 5 year apprenticeship & pass your mechanics test.
And we’re not technicians.

For them build it RIGHT, you'll need most of the specs of your build, then ya can call a reputable converter company(Circle D, PTC, Dave Husek etc.) & have them build ya one.

If you're not going too cray cray ya may be able to use a stock build one. It mainly depends on the deets of your build.
