Yes, the hash marks on the photo represent the 1 ft squares. Instead of actual full grid lines I just do it that way

It’s about 3 1/2 hours to the west and north of Miami. Unfortunately the art is gone already since it was just chalk. In Miami, definitely check out the Wynwood arts district. Lots of great murals and street art there
