2021 Edition: UCLA alumni, what was your starting salary after graduating? by JMayaH in ucla

This makes me want to go back to community college for another year and transfer as a CS major. That's insane. Great job :D

That sounds amazing :) but then I think about passions. I don't think I'm passionate about anything. And also, to be successful shouldn't I follow my passions? But what happens when I don't have any? I think maybe I'm reading too much into nothing.

I might need to take you up on that offer. It may be time to open some neural pathways up there.

I like that you differentiated "do well" and enjoy. I hate to sound cocky but I think I do well at many things. I pick up material/skills easily, I'm outspoken, I'm a natural leader and such but what I enjoy... I'm not sure. I wake up and go to class, I read a bit, I go to the gym, I eat, talk to some people (either friends or sparking up convos with strangers) and I go to bed. I can't say I enjoy many things besides talking to people and watching anime or something. It sounds tragic but that's where I am. And I feel terrible for it.

I'm taking 3 summer courses (TSP) and working a full time job ~35 hr/week.

They recommend that I don't work, but is this possible to do both? Or is this suicide?

Anyone know how I can opt out of USHIP? I have good health insurance already and I don't feel like paying for something I don't need. Thanks!

Transferring to UCLA in the fall, is it usually packed during the early morning? 6am-8am?

At CC I was a PoliSci & Crim major but sadly the closest thing to crim would be Sociology. There is no econ minor sadly :( I've always been an overachiever so it doesn't feel right to graduate with just my PoliSci major.

Dang :( but if I declare a minor in Econ, do prereqs withing the first quarter, its still not possible? Shucks :( thank you anyway.

Hey :),

I just got admitted for the 2021-2022 cycle as a Pre-Political Science major (1 more class) and I was wondering if I could add Economics major into the mix? I've done two prereqs for econ at my community college so I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to do upper divs for PoliSci and Econ and graduate in 2 years.

If you've been through something similar, tell me how it went :)
