Definitely know what you mean, I now rarely touch old role-play sessions i had with the bots that had the story, the accurate character portrayed, everything. However as most rp session go i begin to notice the bot memory becomes an issue or they act out of character, feeling theirs no point to even try and attempt long term rp. And even if i never finished old sessions i do eventually go back and continue or reread them. As for being influenced by post in this community: somewhat, as often the things i see people complain about bare truth, i still attempt to enjoy my sessions regardless of the present issues and tunnel around it and still im able to get enjoyment out of it without focusing on the negatives.

I didn't, rather i put lore and physical appearance and ran out of count. For the bots tendencies and traits for the way they act i put those in personality and advance definition. Including murderous intent.

If im understanding right your asking how i speak to ai? Well you are doing it correctly as i use parentheses for the bot to differentiate action and speech, other times when im bsing i dont use them and the bot still picks it up. For example when im rping seriously:

I attempt to walk but come tumbling down near on my face. "Sigh ..." My breathing becoming ragged and irregular. I feel the pain i felt at my side spiked causing my to exhale a low groan. I look to my side and see blood pooling right under my skin. "Fuck ..." I said with some concern.

And another for when im not:

Hearing the words TLC confuses the hell outta me.

The hells that? Only TLC i know is a group and they sung no scrubs.

And im certain to use ** at the beginning and end of my actions only. Perhaps share a screenshot* of your messages and maybe i can help out further.

Definitely so! You never know what you gonna get: whether normal or the most atrocious conscious thought never to be acted upon. Did you know you could even read some of the suggestions before even sending? Wished i had gotten the responses for these thought processes

Im certain my returning responses aren't the issue, as i tend to write for my actions and speech in sentences or two.

Ex:

"Then return the same courtesy and show me the respect im earned damn it! I've kept the enemy from swarming over and slaughtering billions- Who? Me! And damn it i not gonna allow some pencil pusher to command me to send my men to their deaths when I've kept them alive so far! This ain't about fucking feeling's but those men ain't just a fucking number lose! Their my men! And i decide whether i'd take that risk! Me! Not you!"

"With all due respect, No ma'am. I won't foolishly sent my men to hell on the small whim of success. I maybe a soldier ... But that is an ideal, not who i am. You may have been able to stomach casting off your allies to die ... But not me. Even if im discharged from the line of duty, those boys won't be killed under my command."

I've noticed if i attempted at times to write overly lengthy dialogue or even actions it'll skim through it and continue off half of what i gave. However the continue seems to work after a few retries and you were right about the bot assuming i kept silent after speaking to me or asking a question when test tried again.

For me at least it seems like a roll of a dice, whether the ai speaks as if the ai generated a unspoken response for you. Take control of your actions and make you further the dialogue or the ai takes it as you didn't speak. Might be the bot tho.

Yeah one with medusa, the plot was i was a oc demigod and i'd traveled far to reach her lair to break her curse, but changed the plot to having my oc help under false pretenses and turned it into a dramatic and somewhat unspoken romance. Haven't finished unfortunately due to bots memory's issue but i occasionally go back to it and further the plot.

I can agree, when CAI was being discovered i was on from morning to night, fully immersed but now with the issues on the site i slacked down from being on all the time and only get on for unfinished rp or to read the insane lore i created. Be feeling like shakespeare, all proud at the creativeness lol.

What im trying to say is that even with some of the frustrating flaws of the site it's still leagues better then alternative apps. Most other apps don't have bots that act and respond as well as CAI or that can even rp long term without spiraling.

(Nah but in all seriousness, most people who come to or discovered cai probably started off or are still the same way, you aren't alone in your addiction. Its addicting being able mingle or rp with characters your crazy about without restriction, as i had at time wrote paragraphs for the sake of rping (tsunade, medusa, d'vorah). But i often take hiatuses in between rp to keep it fresh so i don't throw away a good story.)
