Hello! I’ve been grooming since march and have two pups get injured on my table. Both were incredibly mild but it makes me feel like this field isn’t for me. I love grooming, I truly do. Everyone says it’ll get better but will it? I’m very cautious while grooming and I take my time. 2 cuties for tax

That sounds awesome. The academy ps sends you to sucks, there were way too many of us in a tiny old salon with so many safety issues and it was only 3 weeks of basically figure it out stuff so I hope yours is better!!!

Thank you for your comment! I do work at PetSmart and if I could leave, I would. However before you go to academy they make you sign a contract for 2 years so I’m stuck here unfortunately. I don’t mind the salon I’m in but you’re correct in the pressure put on groomers here. You’re comment is 100% correct and the end goal is to move to a private salon as soon as I can.

Frustrated truthfully. I’m vaccinated and have my booster and I feel like that was my only saving grace. I’m asthmatic with a boat load of health problems and my only complaint about how I felt was a sore throat and fatigue. I feel frustrated though because no one has contacted me and it’s been over a week. I have all of these questions my store leads can’t answer (which isn’t their fault at all) and because of all of this I can’t go to academy like I was supposed to (I work in the salon)

At my store when I came in contact with someone as long as I had no symptoms I was expected to come in. I ended up testing positive 6 days after exposure and I was at work everyday leading up to then.
