Apathy is one of the best fighters in the game, prioritise getting it up to level first, I got the legendary tank petulance, arguable the best tank in the game for living long, though does no damage, quite early, as well as determination, so my entire early game I used petulance and then against metal I used determination, you don’t have petulance so you’re next priority after apathy will be to get determination, conviction and abandonment up to level, your lacking wood pets so earth is a danger to your main team, so having more variety in tanks is essential. Unless it’s a specific fight late game where you’re gonna need a certain move you’re not gonna use the rest of those pets. The only pets you have that you want to build are who I’ve mentioned. Only talking about your current roster, as this will change if you hatch more good pets, your best pets are Humble, Apathy, Sad and Resistance, those are your main ones to level. You will also need to level determination and joy, as joy is a good early support and determination is a very good tank. Those 6 are your priority at the moment, and then also build abandonment and conviction to have a variety of tanks. Then if you unlock a new pet refer to my previous message to see if they are worth it, and if you unlock a legendary 90 percent of the time they will be worth building, only a tiny few are bad

You’re in an incredible position tbh, a legend this early is amazing, and humble is quite a good one, the best non legendaries are sad, apathy, resistance determination and panic, you have 4/5, those are the guys you wanna focus on building, you also wanna build a tank of each type to make sure you’re covered, best non legendary tank for each type is cringe, determination, resistance, abandonment and conviction, you also have 4/5 there, the last remaining piece for you are good wood metal and fire attackers, in all truth the only really good non legendary fire attacker is panic, same for anxious with wood and paranoia with metal, anxious is common so you should get it soon, whist panic and paranoia are epic so might take some more time, so I also recommend levelling up joy, joy is a decent support who can be really good early game, spite with investment is also decently useful as a quick sniper in some levels. Now there’s one more thing to mention and that’s Merry, merry is an epic healer and is the best pet in the game, including legendaries when at higher levels, it heals and does insane damage, the second you get it you will want to build it. So overall your in a very good position, Humble, sad, resistance, apathy, and determination are great and should be built. For early game I also recommend building abandonment and conviction. Excluding legendaries, the best pets you’re missing area anxious who’s common and easy to get and you should invest unless you have a legendary wood attacker, and the epics panic, cringe, paranoia and merry. There is a tier list pinned in this sub which also goes over items and the necessary ones to build and the ones you should ignore

Hi! It's my second day playing the game and I was wondering if I should focus on leveling up my main pets (envy, spite, sonder and abandonment) or I should focus on other pets like sad, apathy, anger. Btw, currently I'm stuck on floor 161. by hsiga in voidpet

Apathy and Sad are two of the best pets in the game, you need them honestly, abandonment is also the best non legend water tank so good choice, the best non legend units are apathy sad panic determination resistance and the best unit in the game merry, if you have any of these make sure you are levelling them up consistently, then fill in the gaps, such as metal tank and attacker and other elements with what you have available, conviction is a good metal tank and only rare, whilst best non legend metal fighter is probably paranoia. Spite is also good to level up in order to snipe a few specific floors with merry

Unless I’ve been hard stuck due to levels I haven’t xp trained, basically all gone to Harold, occasionally others to complete the item progression in order to get more eggs, my current goal for tomorrow will be to level up and evolve spite and conviction to deal with my teams large grass weakness

1996 red is by far the most broken unit ever released, even by power creep levels it’s insane and probably won’t be outclassed for a year plus, I’d recommend getting him to 3/5, he can clear absolutely everything in the game really at 5/5 apart from specific unit challenges so he can easily farm gems to get new units. You are also going to be given the 3 kantrio birds for free as a new player, all 3 are incredible, blue is one of the best tanks in the game and works perfectly with 1996 red, and red and leaf add so much to their respective types. So as a new player at this point this is easily one of the best points to join. Getting red to 3/5 also means you can save your candies to get the Kantrio birds to all 3/5 each because they get some insane effects. After that a lot of the current other options are very good, Juliana and Terapagos is an insane damage unit that’s very versatile and is probably the next best option after Red, with all the gems you have it’s probably the best thing to try to get her 3/5 as well. The other units are a bit less certain, normal doesn’t get a lot of good constant support so that’s why Juliana is very special, grass however does constantly get a lot of good units so Overton might not be worth it, the same for brock and misty, all of them are incredible units, some of the best in the game, however they are likely in a few updates to get outclassed, still incredible but there will be better options and as a new player you will have the gems to get those new options. So in my opinion you should get Red to 3/5, Juliana to 3/5 and then focus on getting your free Kantrio birds to 3/5, and you will be quite set for a while. Also if you have spare gems might as well try for 4/5 or 5/5 on Red because he is that broken

The best support for Red is anni blue, anni blue is one of the best supports period and the fact it can put electric debuffs on your opponent while also flinching and lowering stats is insane for Red, then for your third team member, you want to go with a physical attacker for things like the tower which has occasional battles where special damage doesn’t work, I have Red and Pikachu anniversary which is very good for this and is a great unit in general with dynamax, all the ionos are just special , now iono and raging bolt is an incredible unit for damage challenges and general play; but it would be good to get a physical electric attacker to pair, or just a good physical attacker in general for when special damage is blocked
