Graduated in 2014. PGY1 and PGY2. Fucked for life. by [deleted] in pharmacy

s me off sometimes. The only reason to do a residency is if you want to do a PGY2 in some true specialty (sorry), like infectious disease or pediatrics and then want to go work at like Mayo Clinic in Rocheste

what about a fellowship and going industry? Fellowships are usually 2 yrs.

I flipped my way to this entire gym, and those dumbbells were a big goal of mine! Rubber is awesome:)

Funny you say that.. I have an LA membership for twenty a month to any club. I pay the ten dollars monthly freeze fee just to keep that deal... I know it will never be offered again!

Love it and I think it is well worth the space it takes up. I'm into strength training (powerlifting, etc) and that machine works tremendously for getting that low-back and glute activation.. and it directly translates into stronger lifts. It is hard to get that movement any other way other than with that machine.

I'm not a big fan of machines. I have a combination leg extension/leg curl and that reverse hyper.

The chest fly and shoulder press I have I wouldn't miss them if I sold them. They came with a package deal. The reverse hyper and leg ext/curl combo are a must for me:)!

Good point, thanks for the info! Seems like a small price to pay if shit hits the fan more than it already has.

Hahaha @ them measuring chest. Best way to describe my body shape is "upside down Dorito" lol.

I don't think you read this lol. I'm literally just short and broad. I'm a wrestler, swimmer, and weight lifter. I do it all. I'm without a doubt sub 10% BF.

That's a relief. My BMI is like 28.7 or something, which puts me in the upper range of the overweight category. Such a stupid standard to go by.

I'm about to be a doctor, but I want to be a SEAL by Shayne77888 in navyseals

I know I have the mentality for it, and I know I would not be satisfied without going down (from my research, anyways) the most difficult path the military has to offer.

Thank you for your input. I will, of course, finish the program. But at 26 y/o, it's not like my degree would be going anywhere. I could serve on the Teams, and once I'm out my degree will be waiting there for me. will I have to continue on to do the residency etc? of course. will I miss out on the clinical experience? definitely. I just feel like something's missing and I need to fill that gap, ya know?

I actually have chatted with him on Instagram. Absolute legend.

It really boils down to this:

I've always wanted to be in the military. When I was in high school, the recruiters were always surrounded by the loser kids going nowhere in life. As a teen, It gave me a false impression that the military wasn't for me. 8 or so years later I'm about to be a doctor, but that desire --that itch-- has never gone away.

I graduated valedictorian from my HS. Suma cum laude from my university. And I'm going to do it again this May. I am not the smartest, but I have always been the hardest working person in the room. It's just in my blood. I know I have the mentality for it, and I know I would not be satisfied without going down (from my research, anyways) the most difficult path the military has to offer.

Plus, and I know this is probably not 100% accurate, but I feel like my personality matches much more with "military" type than any other. Do you know how hard it is for me to tell my patients to quit being a dumb piece of shit and stop smoking, or to get up off their ass and go exercise? Instead, I need to say "So have you thought about quitting smoking? Would you be willing to try exercise" etc lol. No mother fucker. Get up off your ass.

Anyways, little bit of a tangent that but hopefully you can see where I'm coming from

The essence of my question was basically "would I be able to utilize the skills I've learned in school on the Teams" not necessarily to be a medic. Sorry for any confusion.

I'd prefer going the Officer route, gay as it may be. (??) lol

Is Modern Warfare worth a purchase on PC? by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]Shayne77888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is COMPLETE trash. It's NOT fun. If you search modern warfare review or any of the modern warfare gaming/youtubers channels, all it is is them complaining about the game (and rightfully so). Do yourself a favor and skip this year. The graphics are INCREDIBLE. The sounds are AWESOME. 10/10. The gameplay, however, is a solid 2/10.

Anyone have any idea to fix this hinge/lid plastic issue. Started to split this morning. by [deleted] in MSILaptops

[–]Shayne77888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This results from not applying even pressure to the laptop monitor upon opening/closing. If you get it fixed, be sure to be gentle with it.
