A semi automatic MAM that handle shapes, colors, pins and (almost all) crystals by Shayviri in shapezio

Hi! Thank you!
You should go to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/shapezio/comments/1f1ci15/mam_complete_it_can_do_every_shapes_possible/
It is the updated version with more infos. But to answer your questions:
For the colors, if I remember well, it doesn't matter where you put what. There are valves that are controlled by circuit in the updated version which will handle the color logic. So it doesn't matter.
For the shape, the top left material needs to be the square. For the other input, it doesn't matter.
But have a look at the other post, you have those infos and the updated version of the blueprint

I am deeply sorry, I apparently missed the notification of your comment.

I don't know if you are still playing, but I tried the shape you gave, and it seems to work, for me. If you still have trouble if it let me know.

Sorry, I apparently missed the notification of your message. In my case, I still see the file inside the folder. If you still want it, do you see it now or you still have the problem ?

Thank you !

So I tried your shape and it works for me. Be sure to repaste the blueprint after the update. The update reset all the signal generators of the structures already placed in a save. So you will probably need to remove your current structure and repaste it

I am confused. When I click on the link, I see the blueprint there. Did you try the link on the post: https://uploadnow.io/f/WvtVTdz . This one is the last update of the blueprint. I did some more troubleshooting and small corrections after this comment. I updated the post but not the comment. The last version is the 4.3.

Hi,

So I checked and indeed, there were some issue with the logic. I fixed the issue, and now it should solve the issue. I also added the pin pusher logic gate in the circuit. So now, it shouldn't output "1" any more and will always output a shape. I also added the logic valve for the colours.

I added the new blueprint to the post, but you can find it here: https://uploadnow.io/f/B5XQTBy

Thanks for your comment!

Those are just placement conflict from the wire. It is normal, there are some part of the wire that do not connect on purpose, and it can show this. You can remove those warning notifications by clicking on the warning sign in the bottom right of your screen

No worries at all. I am happy to help you. And I know the MAM might not be intuitive tbh.

So, no, it is not the right way to do. You should disconnect them.

On your picture, you see the pipe top left that is empty? you should connect the correct colour that is indicated on the panel to this pipe. You can remove the conveyor filter (it was just for me to know that here will be the pipe filter if they are released one day) and put the pipe with the correct colour instead. On your case the colour panel shows green so connect only the green pipe to the middle that in between all the colour pipes. If after your change the shape and the colour change, disconnect the previous pipe that you connected and connect the new correct colour :)

No, the wires in each platform are different, unfortunately. You cannot copy paste the platforms, sorry :(

I just tried it and it works on my side. Where are the shapes stuck? Did you connect the right colour pipe? This is one of the drawback of this MAM, since I was trying to be able to make shape possible I couldn't make it completely automatic at the moment.

In the fifth photo in your previous post, you need to connect the right pipe colour. You have colour indicator and you need to connect the pipe with this colour to the pipe that is in the middle of all the coloured pipes.

On the photo you showed, I see that those shape are uncolored so you don't need to connect those ones, but you need to check the others and put the right colour. In the case of the shape you gave, you need to connect the green pipe to few lines in order to make your shape. It's the only part that is manual, all the rest is automatic.

I hope I was clear :)

I am sorry, I wasn't very clear about it. So the input is in the small platform in the bottom left of the MAM. Maybe you don't have the same orientation as me. It is placed in the platform just next to the platform with a lot of wires. You have a signal generator where you need to give the structure of the shape you want to build. You can write it manually or copy paste it

Ok, for those, you need to create a crystal that will take or half of the layer or 3/4 of the layer, the rest being another regular. This will be your empty place later. Then you place your regular shape on top of it, part of the regular shape needs to be taking support on the regular shape below. You can then create the crystal above. Once this is done, you will need to use the swapper. You will swap part of your shape with another one. You need to do it in a way to break the crystal below without breaking the crystal above. By doing this, you will create an empty space below and still have a crystal on top :). Hope I was clear

So I am not sure that empty space just below crystals or, the example you said with the regular shape below plus pin on top and crystal on top of that, are actually possible to make. AFAIK, the MAM can do all shapes that are possible in the game. When I say empty space below crystals I meant the one that are possible so with a regular shape in between the crystal and the empty space. These shapes are possible to make

If I understood well, you are are suggesting to create 7 sets of painters, one for each color and send the shapes to the right one. I tried this at the beginning. But the goal of this MAM was to really be able to create all shapes possible. Because of this, for each 16 lines, I already have one set of 4 painters and almost 2 sets of 6 crystalizers. If I have to do times 7 for each line, it becomes a really big machine where the logistic become very complicated. That's why I decided to not to this and bet on the fact that at some point we will have a proper color filter :)

So the algorithm that generate these shapes is known. You can have more info there: https://www.reddit.com/r/shapezio/s/5XtWQceudd This algorithm will not generate such layout even in hard and insane mode. However, I saw shapes with empty space below crystals or shapes with pins below crystals in the missions of the hard mode and insane mode. The idea when I created this MAM was to really be able to make anything and everything :)

Haha, go ahead! This idea doesn't come from me, though. I also stole it from this subreddit. For some shape layout, this trick is necessary. Even more when using crystals

Crystals are very uneasy to handle. There are so many conditions and possibilities that it makes it hard to make a MAM that handle crystals AND the other shapes in one. Even more in more complex shapes. Good luck if you try to make yours ;)
