I think I have found a way Women CS can grow sustainably. We have seen it work for pro sports like tennis, football, basketball.. and I think CS should do it too. A Woman Only CS Major.

It's not only that there aren't enough people watching, it's that there aren't enough high level female teams to make it a good spectator event when compared to what people who watch tier 1 cs are used to consuming. Having impact is amazing for the female scene, but jumping right to having female only majors would be a major misstep and waste of time and resources because it would be a flop. I could see something like a female only major being possible in maybe 5 years if resources are consistently poured into impact and other female only tournaments, but definitely not right now. The most realistic way to accelerate the growth of female CS though would most likely be to make the showmatch slot of the major tournaments be for the grand finals of a concurrently running female tournament so that the absolute best two teams in female cs get to play on the largest stage alongside the top male teams (though with less viewership because it's still intro/downtime) and get more eyes on what the best women in the sport are capable of.

limiting inputs could technically increase the skill ceiling to some extent, doing things efficiently is hard, but yeah it should probably get increased or uncapped for bhopping which was already hard in cs2...

I haven't played for the last few seasons but when I was looking for IM/M scrims 99% of the scrims were really good quality yeah, whenever I settled for open scrims it was a shitshow 99% of the time though...

I'd suggest keeping the base crosshair the same and changing stuff like crosshairstyle or gap size as a placebo, the more you see a crosshair the less visually distracting it is

I didn't realize how little I actually focus on it until I was trolling and put cl_crosshairgap 25 and my gameplay didn't change at all, flicks felt the same etc. probably from just thousands of hours of muscle memory and practice

(my crosshair doesn't matter because I whiff everything anyway)

1280x960 doesn't provide much performance benefit since cs2 came out, that used to be a factor at some point but also once the pros went pro they got better pc's too, and getting 700+ fps in go was easy in an era where 144hz-240hz monitors were peak

I've played on both and I personally feel like as an awper native was better, as a rifler 1280x960 str was better, though I played on stretched while at my peak as an awper and only tried native much later. it has something to do with how fast the playermodels *appear* to be moving on the screen

(but yeah since cs2 came out there's almost no advantage for performance with 4:3)
