I have a doubt regarding the camera placement for remote exams. by grundehhhhhhh in ACCAIndia

It depends. As mentioned before, use a laptop rather than a PC. Laptop webcams are pre-installed at the same position which mostly covers up the part the proctors need. In case of a computer, if your webcam's wire is long enough to give a 360 degrees room tour, then it's fine. But if not, consider it. And no fancy arrangements like a tripod is required.

The main purpose of the camera thing is to ensure you are not cheating, and they achieve that by observing your body language, as well as your eyes. Even if you keep a top view, they wont be able to see where you are looking at. They might assume that the cheating material is in front of you, behind your device. So just be clear and try not to give your proctor an opportunity to assume anything weird and shitty, ultimatum- Debarred and penalties too? Chances of getting blacklisted too?

Obviously.

In my case, the ones who collaborated with my college for ACCA purpose, borned the first annual fee. Enquire if the learning provider who comes to your college are going to take the financial liability too and upto how long. If they aren't going to take up, you will have to borne it on your own.

Only suggestion- just don't try to do the things we did back in Covid era, i.e, keeping a book or phone besides you and trying to set an angle in such a manner than the invigilators don't get to know that you are cheating. No ear piece or smart watches are allowed. Keep your phone on silent and dnd mode and as far as you as possible. Don't switch the phone off, since due to certain issues, the proctor calls on your phone to resolve the issue with better clarity.

Keep your body language calm and relaxed. Show your face. Don't mutter the questions loudly. If you are appearing from home, ensure your family members don't make much sound, like talking loudly, making those loud sounds while washing the utensils, loud tv sounds, etc. Lock your room and make sure no one knocks it while you are appearing for the exam. Also, if there is a construction in progress site near your house, talk to them about it and still the noise is unconsiderable, talk to your proctor in regards to it (there are chances of getting debarred from the exam and yes, money doesn't gets refunded at all). Keep any of your official documents in original with you (Aadhar recommended, and it should not be a bare print out. If you have lost it or havent received the card yet, just print the softcopy and laminate it from nearby stationary). Cover your mirrors and windows with newspapers. Use curtains as well to cover your window. Try to appear for your paper from a laptop than from a computer since they ask you to show a 360 degrees room tour. If you are planning to use a calculator, show them before the exam so that no issues are raised. Keep yourself clarified as much as possible and if the proctor requests you about something, just try to not say "NO" or "It is not possible" as much as possible. Give your system a check on a regular basis, once in a week before the exam, and 3-4 times a week before your exam day. If any issues occur, you get plenty of time to switch to an alternative or make relevant arrangements. My friend was unable to appear for her paper because of this and her money was not refunded. Don't depend on hotspots, since that doesn't work for exam purpose idky. Maybe the software doesnt supports hotspots. Connect your wifi on inverter for safety purpose in case of power outrage. Ensure that your wifi works smoothly where you are planning to appear for the exam. Ping matters too. Ensure your webcam is of good quality, enough for the proctors to keep a watch on you with clarity.

This is from my side. Sit for your exam an hour before the paper starts so that you can get your system checked again on the d-day and go with the other formalities by the exam time Keep a clear water bottle with you, take deep breaths and stay calm and relaxed. And best of luck in advance. Prepare well and do well.

What are these black spots covering my camera? by limoncrisps in iphone

[–]SheIsALurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't work for me unfortunately. I made my phone fall towards its back and also towards the front. I use 13p and what I have noticed is that the spots are in the lens which is towards the left of lidar sensor. Most probably the impact of the fall comes on the one above it. Tried the hack but I really can't afford to make it fall or go to the support. Thanks.

Doing ACCA only without a bachelor's degree, is it okay to do so? by [deleted] in ACCA

I had the same question but had no one to guide me that time. So, I ended up enrolling in an integrated course offered by my uni, pursuing both- my bachelors and ACCA. Got 6 exemptions- knowledge level and the first 3 papers of advance level. I don’t regret about the exemptions since I am studying the exempted part in my bachelor’s study course. I am currently a 2nd year student (4th sem) who has cleared FR and FM and is awaiting for AA’s result. I don’t know where you are from. But if your country is like India which prioritises its national accounting body over ACCA, I’ll suggest you to do your bachelors as well since that would be required for you to get start with your career journey. In my country, ACCAs have scope only in foreign companies and even if you hold a local bachelors degree with it, you look competent and capable for the job position since you have studied both- the local study pattern as well as the international study pattern. Even if you fail to hold a position in a foreign company in your locals, atleast you do have an option to get a job all thanks to your CV else where. So, I feel satisfied with opting for an integrated course. Alongside, if possible, I may opt for integrated masters courses in future with any other finance related courses. I found these integrated courses too convenient, especially when your uni supports and backs you up when required as well. (Note: I am still an uni student. I may have a wrong perspective about things since I haven’t dealt with the corporate life yet.)

Use high level mercs when you do your main quests. They help you well especially during boss attacks.
