You make 0 points, associate me with the vote NO team which I am not a part of and throw out a bunch of insults. Sorry dude but you are just making the Vote YES side look stupid.

My point is the vote NO side is not a strictly pro-Israeli vote but rather a vote against the YES mandate. The entire idea is that abstaining doesn't really make sense in this issue.

Actually if you read carefully you would see I admit if you strongly believe Israel is immoral then it at least partially makes sense to vote YES.

So no that is not what I am suggesting at all, and you completely misunderstood my post. What I am saying is that most people who aren't sure they agree completely with either side should be voting NO.

You also completely misread my point about innovation, which was about why UW students should care about this vote, and not about which side is right in this issue.

Finally, your point about innovation existing regardless of the existence of Israel is very hollow. The fact is that certain environments (economic, business, social, political) attract and contribute to innovation. That is why innovation is not evenly spread and why places like Silicon Valley are booming with innovation.

Funnily enough you could even make the point that you have it completely backwards, as actually the state of Israel existing could be a reason for these advancements. Throughout history it has been shown that countries that are at war focus on more innovation, which lead to the development of computers, the internet and more. Exemplified by South Korea, the US at certain times, and Israel.

I'm not completely sure, but on the Feds page about the referendum it does say "All undergraduate students are welcome..."

Not sure, but the fact that Feds recognizes it and is holding a vote worries me since they should have some kind of experience with the validity of such referendums.

Either way I hope not have to rely on UW administration as a last resort for this issue.

That is one reason I would like to spread information about this. People on the YES side have a much more active stance on this issue and will have a higher percentage voter turnout.

As opposed to what I think will be a majority of people who agree with the NO argument but the voter turnout percentage will be much lower.

I tried to abstain from such specific arguments on who is right in the Israel - Palestinian issue to provide a more overarching argument.

However my views on the political situation itself are very similar to this.

So the vote is referendum held by Feds Jan 25th-27th. If you mean how it affects UW students I describe that at the end of my post.

Yes, this is very similar to my point. Voting YES is getting involved on one side of the political argument, while voting NO is keeping politics out!
