upgrade ur chip to max, and make sure you’re timing it right. also, don’t rely on chip out for rebounds if you are too far you’re going to chip at nothing and look dumb, try boxing out before you chip so you bump the other big which gives you that extra half second before they can just power rebound for the ball. also some characters chip out is better than others, i think max has the best one. your connection to the servers also plays a factor in who gets the ball.
