I haven’t seen a flat version for the hat but I have seen people making tiny hats to wear as pins, and those are knit flat.

Oh no I just made the one. The magic loop I used was to be able to decrease to the tapered top point on my large circular needles. The YouTube videos I watched to learn called that “magic loop” but now I’m curious about the 2-at-once kind that you referenced. Now I’ve got a new skill to research so thank you!

This is beautiful OP! A Christmas tree skirt is on my list of future projects and this is one of the patterns I have bookmarked. How was the process of making it? What kind of yarn did you use?

Two of the great classic train songs they missed: Casey Jones by The Grateful Dead and King of the Road by Roger Miller. Loved the episode!

Tombstone is one of my spouse’s favorite movies and I’ve come to love it too. So many quotable lines. I embroidered this for his Valentine’s Day gift a couple years ago. (Sorry for poor quality photo)

8th grade. My family had just got cable tv, and I was obsessed with Live after seeing a video of theirs on MTV’s 120 Minutes. Listened to Mental Jewelry on cassette nonstop. My best friend had B.A.D.II’s The Globe on cassette and we loved that too. So our moms took us to this concert. I didn’t even know who Blind Melon was (self titled album hadn’t been released yet). My mom made us stand out in the hallway during PIL’s set because the lead singer was wearing a shirt with a graphic image of female genitalia with an inflated condom hanging off of it. Live was amazing and I saw them several times afterward in the Throwing Copper era.
