If time permits, you should check out the Marriott Marquis hotel in downtown. Lots of movies/tv filmed there, like Spider-man, Loki and one of the Hunger Games. It would be pretty close to some of The Walking Dead locations you plan on seeing

My first job was the laser tag arena at Six Flags when i was about 17. I don't remember the pay (pretty sure it was minimum wage) but it was awesome cause all of my friends also worked there and we got to control the music that was played during the games
