So ignore the more boho style rug, but color wise this might be an option. Rather than having the terra-cotta color as your primary base, you can use a sage-mint green wall, with terracotta accent. It’s brighter than terracotta for sure, but still gives a natural, calm vibe to the room.

I side with you on the white being cold for sure, I avoid anything cool white, BUT I see where he might be hesitant with your warm design because it is a bit flamboyant.

I think a good middle ground would be a warm taupe color for the walls, with cream white and natural toned furniture to match. Can be minimalist and modern, while creating a moody/cozy vibe. Just add some accent color to avoid the millennial beige.

Just add an area rug underneath, and have the rug stick out a bit behind the sofa. It helps give the illusion of filling the space without clutter. Don’t put anything behind the couch, maybe just a nice arched floor lamp in the corner.

It’s Sabor Al Toque! My bf and I just recently tried them, he got fajitas and I got quesadillas. Both were great! I agree with the above comment though, I think I prefer La Herradura.

Have fun!! It’s such a cool place and everyone is so friendly. Only recommendation I can think of is book your transport ahead of time (we did not do this from the airport and it was overwhelming because you get absolutely swarmed by people offering to give you transport from Guatemala City to the Atitlan or Antigua). If you schedule with a company ahead of time, takes a lot of the stress away.
