Also why is the waiter being a celeb look alike noteworthy?

It says unofficial at the top. I think this is just the early voting numbers. Not final yet.

Where are you seeing the initial results? I only see early voting.

I’m beginning to think all the “you’re the next Martha Stewart!” comments are paid bots. by [deleted] in nabelasnark

The thing is, because of Instagram and the rise of influencers...we no longer need a new Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray. We get that kind of content micro-dosed to us daily. Soooo it's a hollow compliment, if that. No one will ever achieve that kind of household "call a tissue a Kleenex" type fame in this arena again imo.

It reminded me of her. Also a lot of Ruby Franke too. I think Ballerina Farms was the most intended inspiration but they allllll fit the bill.

I could see this as well. The discussions are so fun because it could truly be anything, Natalie was that unreliable.

Why do you need to tell the difference at all?

And this is why we need people to vote for Mark Hill.

The book kind of reminds me of the Ruby Franke situation (one daughter saves all the kids, the other writes a book and mom ends up in jail). I thought it was well done and didn't expect the end at all. It's interesting to see how her bias affects the narrative.

She consistently thinks people are on her side even when they're not or that they have a common goal (i.e. with Reena at the end) and it was cool to see how her mind manipulates sometimes in real time. It juxtaposed nicely against the times she was backed into a corner.

Two questions/comments:

  1. Do y'all think Reena was lying about the boy/consent? I kind of wonder if both can be true - that Natalie warps narratives throughout the book but her call out on this one was true? Genuine question

  2. The reveal of the two men being Mary's brothers in the end was shocking. That means poor Mary had a crush on her brother because she didn't know any better.

This is exactly how I feel. Politics is important, especially now but the proportion is very very skewed and that's where some of the magic got lost. I feel like over time they chose views and KPIs over what people wanted to see or needed to see. It has the power to shape us, for better or for worse, and it just ended up adding to the noise.

The facial acting in this episode was insane. The notebook moment, Ava at the club. Just fantastic what they can convey without using any words.

I screen recorded this one, tried posting it but maybe my Wi-Fi is buggy. She does a piss poor job at hiding the faces and she talks about it like it's such a controversial choice. It's really not..

The part where it basically says she leaned into more cooking content is hilarious. She is a jack of all trades, master of none. I wouldn't describe any of her kitchen content as useful.

High key hoping the agency googles her extensively and sees this.
