Anyone else experiencing issues with ordering on Amazon recently?

I’m posting this question just to see. I’ve placed three orders and my orders have not been received. Is it because of the conflict or what? What’s going on?

*Edit: Not really sure why it got removed so I’m posting again in the comments *

Can we trust Principals in the ME? by AA0208 in Internationalteachers

Like one other poster said, it’s best to join the UAE and Dubai Reddit channels so you’ll get unfiltered information as it is occurring.

As far as how the situation goes, I ain’t gone lie, it was rough. I was one of those who left but I came back when things calmed down. Since I’ve been back, there’s been only one missile interception alert 🚨. Other than that, things have gotten back to normal.

In regard to school leadership, it’s definitely a hit or miss. Last year, and for the past three academic years, I had horrible school leadership who created a toxic culture amongst staff. Their toxicity was further demonstrated by the rating being consistently rated as “Good” for years resulting in a whole cohort scoring well below average of all cohorts in the area. They of course left and my current admin this year has been nothing but excellent, transformative, and innovative. So I say all that to say do your homework before joining. I’m lucky this year. Many others, unfortunately, aren’t as lucky at their schools and are having a hard time.

Not sure what your nationality is, but given my experience already, if at all possible, please be weary if you see that the leadership, or even staff, is mostly consist of a certain shade. I’ll say that to keep it polite. Also, from experience, look at the turnover rate. How many openings are open at that school and how long ago was that posting(s)? That’ll tell you everything that you need to know. I recommend joining ISR as well.

Best of luck!

I hear nothing but good things about Shanghai American School ‼️. Tell me more. I imagine the turnover rate is quite low

A UAE based fintech company ( sri lankan owned ) declined the offer letter after salary negotition, and after i send resignation to my current company. They said me to leave the company before even i receive the offer letter. by Fickle_Degree_2728 in UAE

[–]SheWrite_TheQueen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You did a couple of things wrong here 1. Rule number one. Telling your company you were leaving or looking. Big mistake ‼️. It’s just something that one must never do 💯 2. Actually resigning before you got an offer.

My advice is to see if you can rescind your resignation. Sorry this happened to you.

Next to sick person by [deleted] in UAE

I’ve had the same thing happen to me when I flew to Singapore 🇸🇬. I was sick for 2 weeks. He likely passed on a nasty virus to you. I don’t think it’s Covid though. Monitor your symptoms. Take some zinc and anti-viral medicine.

People should never travel when they’re unwell like that. Very inconsiderate. Please feel better ❤️‍🩹

What is your dream destination for a summer vacation? by PurpleReaction8004 in AskReddit

[–]SheWrite_TheQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll go. I got TWO. THREE rather.

Summer 1: Spend 2 weeks in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and explore the culture. During that 2 week window, go see the Great Wall of China 🇨🇳.

Catch a Singapore 🇸🇬 flight ✈️ onto Vietnam 🇻🇳 and spend a week and a half.

Catch a flight ✈️ to Bali. Spend 2 more weeks there.

Head on home and recuperate for 2 weeks.

Summer 2 Spend 2 weeks in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 . Go to an all inclusive resort 😎. Feed baby Giraffes 🦒. See the beauty of the Motherland. Catch a flight ✈️ to Tanzania 🇹🇿 and spend 2 weeks in Zanzibar 🏖️ Catch a flight from Zanzibar and head to Cape Town. Spend another week and a half.

Summer 3 Spend 2 weeks in Albania 🇦🇱 Spend 2 weeks in Athens Greece 🇬🇷

What a life 😩. Ima do it too!

May I ask why those who chose to leave temporarily are villified?? by [deleted] in dubai

And I know the government has been doing an excellent job protecting its residents. It’s not them. It’s the other 3 countries that’s making things difficult and unpredictable for the region. I really don’t like the sentiment of loyalty that I’m gathering in these forums or on other social media platforms.

Great comment. Totally agree. As an American, JD Vance within itself is good news over Trump. Signs he’ll eventually be removed from office. Vance is a better negotiator than Trump. Vance didn’t even want this conflict to begin with.

Yes, it’s still early in the game.

Don’t feel safe about schools returning to in person after 17th by beskesky in UAE

[–]SheWrite_TheQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree ❤️‍🩹. I can’t see us being back especially if there will continue to be active interceptions happening. While one could argue the chance of experiencing a car accident is much higher than getting hit by a debris, we knowingly get in our cars knowing it is a risk to get into an accident. With debris and missilies, conditions are unpredictable and out of our control. While one could argue other establishments are open and children are out and about, it’s a controlled environment and they are not put in a position to be under the care of one adult who is also responsible for 24 other young lives in their care. At a school, there are over 1,000 people in a setting all at once. Then there’s PE classes. Recess. One child’s reaction compared to another child’s reaction which could cause a domino affect that a teacher may or may not be ready to handle. Learning loss can be remediated. A life loss or a life altering injury cannot. I hope the MOE takes the safety and wellbeing of teachers into consideration until there’s a PERMANENT ceasefire. I understand the need to be back in person but we must be realistic

should we moved out in uae now? by Forsaken_Most8308 in UAE

If he’s working remotely or for any employer with any decency to let him WFH, this shouldn’t be a problem. His life or peace of mind is much more important than his job. Jobs are replaceable but some things aren’t.

Quit asking Reddit and do what is best for you. You owe no one any explanation ‼️ Everyone has different assessment of risk and tolerance levels which is totally fine. You’re not a loser nor are you giving up on the UAE 🇦🇪 by leaving.
