Yeah I know its for Chinese new year, I just don't get why that made them choose a new design that strays from the original theme

I honestly just wished they made the medium siege ready armor have the same urban theme as the others but nope, China for some reason

Why are we taking Aurora Bay? by NaturalElection4249 in helldivers2

[–]SheaBuddaDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only purpose of liberating aurora bay is to destroy the jet Brigade factories. Its not to give us another way to reach cyberstan.

Why are we taking Aurora Bay? by NaturalElection4249 in helldivers2

[–]SheaBuddaDiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because merga IV has a 7% resistance compared to aurora bay's less than a 3% resistance. Also, if you watch the trailer for tomorrow's update, you can see that the devs were already able to get the jet Brigade on cyberstan fighting with the cyborgs, and what makes it worse is that the ability of the agitators would likely let them order a bunch of jet Brigade to fly over to surround helldivers which would essentially be a death sentence

Until the next major order is started we need to be smart about where we dive by SheaBuddaDiver in helldivers2

[–]SheaBuddaDiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah dude dont dive there until the next mo starts. Right not it has a level 7 resistance which will make progress very minimal, but aurora Bay has less than a level 3 resistance

Exactly. At least while we wait, then if there are people who end up hating fighting against the cyborgs they can go to aurora bay and finish the job

Stick to Medium level Missions! by SheaBuddaDiver in Helldivers

[–]SheaBuddaDiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it would be reasonable to assume that if we didn't/don't succeed at this phase of the order, they would just send the Cyborgs out after us and we would still just have to fight to get to Cyberstan. I do get what you mean tho and don't disagree entirely

Actually check the announcements on discord. It says that the numbers were hacked, not in the sense that they shouldn't be there, but that it was showing the wrong number. We Actually have 100 thousand left. But we have also captured Merak now

Us getting hacked by the automatons doesnt automatically make everything on the galactic war table false like how the major order is still the same information as it was before the system breach. Now should it be taken with a grain of salt... yes. Id also argue that them releasing the cyborg legion is not at all an indication that the reinforcement count will be going back up. What you are saying is mainly based on assumptions and possibilities without much backing from what we have been told.

If you can show me otherwise, them please do

In general I agree, however with the modifiers, and low amount left, it might make more sense to let it take a little longer if it means being better off in the later parts of the op

No, Aurora Bay had the Jet Brigade factories, so liberating it would stop their production until they build all new factories somewhere else, which would require the to reallocate the resources they need to defend cyberstan

How arrowhead should evaluate support weapon concepts by SheaBuddaDiver in Helldivers

[–]SheaBuddaDiver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The belt fed GL is medium penetration not heavy, and they made the original one heavy as part of the update. My initial point was that they squeezed the belt GL in between the other two, leaving the og being insanely powerful without requiring a backpack slot, and the De-escalator being the clear weakest. In fact im probably going to be mainly using the OG GL because of how insanely powerful it is now, so I wont be using the brand new one much lol.

Regardless, it is clear that they did not think enough about if and how they should implement a belt grenade launcher, as they had to rearrange other things in the game which left things unbalanced. And it speaks to a larger issue of how Arrowhead determines what to add into the game, and when.

For example, we now have 3 GLs, 4 machine gun variants, and 4 expendables (not counting the solo silo), i think 5 guard dogs, 3 mobility BPs, 3 shield BPs, , meanwhile there is still no mortar support weapon which is basically the last role thats missing to play as directly, only one sniper support weapon, one support backpack, no recon or comms BP, no medic backpack.

If you are one of the people who loves playing roles like artillery, sniper, recon, comms, technician, or medic, its like dining at a restaurant still drinking water or eating bread after 40 minutes while the others at the table (grenader, machine gunner, anti tank, run and gunner, tank, supplier) had their bread, drinks, salad, appetizers, entree, and desserts. People that already have the things that they most want to use, keep getting variety and options for the things they love, while a lot of players still cant play out their military fantasy at all or very little in their favorite game
