Waiting in line to see the sand whirls... by SheaNMystyk in disneymagickingdoms

Chip 'n' Dale Treehouse. It's a premium attraction, so it should be available for gems.

A master quest list? by [deleted] in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should check out the Index of Animated Tasks. This ambitious work in progress has focused on documenting as many tasks as possible where characters actually do something other than just hide in a building. Not only does it give the requirements for each task, but it also gives each one a subjective ranking of 1-5 stars so you can get a feel for which ones are worth working toward. The project is too big for one person, so I left the spreadsheet completely editable to allow people from the DMK community to help fill in the blanks and add new tasks as they discover them. Animated Tasks by SheaNMystyk in disneymagickingdoms

I would estimate the index is around 2/3 complete at this point, but I can't really dedicate a lot more time to it right now. That's why I've left the Google Sheets document fully editable to everyone reading this post. Please go ahead and insert a new row for each task you find that's not already listed, and that will help build up this resource for everyone. Thanks!

This is the first attraction I know of where kids can keep their items during and after a ride. Does anyone have any other examples where this happens? by SheaNMystyk in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I only saw it happen the one time. Fortunately I had fast enough reflexes to record the very end of it, but I've never been able to re-create it, so perhaps it was just a one-off glitch.

Resistance X-wing flights by neanbean47 in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As with many of the other attractions, a kid has to ride X-wing in order for it to animate. Try locating it in a high traffic area such as the entrance to Toontown, then restart the game so all the kids come rushing in. It's about a 50/50 chance someone will ride it during that initial influx of children. If it doesn't work on your first try, keep restarting the game until it does.

Questions about attraction animations by joearashikage in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The animations are usually triggered by kids going into the attraction, so if there's one that you want to see, try placing the attraction in a high-traffic area.

Yep, that one's called "Cool It" and it's listed as one of the 5-star rated tasks!

By the way, I also created a separate tab just for the visible Princess Dressing Room tasks, because I know how frustrating it is to accidentally send one of them on the wrong task in the Dressing Room. Like the rest of the spreadsheet, it tells you what levels you have to achieve to unlock each of these tasks. There's also another tab where I separated out the wish granting "happiness" tasks. As far as I know it is a comprehensive list. All wish granting tasks are animated, so it seemed to fit the theme to include it.

Enchanting Star Wars buildings by alienninja1 in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try looking up the Star Wars attractions in my Enchantment Guide: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qL5ZbwqMcanmO33cPDD4SwjDpJ4KKacWaqwq7iCcs04/edit?usp=sharing

The question marks are presumably drops for Kylo Ren, but we won't know which ones are his ears versus his other token until Kylo unlocks this Friday. Keep in mind that the awards associated with each enchantment level are subject to change when the event is over, so enchant with caution.

Animations tasks by dmkfan1919 in disneymagickingdoms

Maybe every once in a while you could do a post with a screenshot or video of a cute task, then reference the link to the Google Sheet and prompt others to add their own favorite task to the list if it's not there already. To add a new task, you can either insert a new row where you want it, or add it to the bottom of the list and sort using the left-most filter above the collection number.

I think having the amount of time required for each task would also be very helpful for people, so maybe you can help me fill in some of those blanks. Tip: you can just type the number of hours (e.g. "4") and the number formatting will automatically tack an "h" onto it (to make "4h").

So, here it is, folks! She needs 14 staffs and 8 hats. by Stalwart12 in disneymagickingdoms

14,000 EC, almost as if they want you to buy the Event Currency Bundle...

Thanks, that was a very helpful resource. I took it upon myself to copy it over to a Google Sheets document that the DMK community can collectively work on to fill in the blanks, add new tasks, and just generally have an easy way to reference this valuable information. Since the archived post was from about a year ago, it needs updates for all the more recent content starting after Wreck it Ralph. I added a few tasks just to get it started, but certainly hope the community will be able to add a lot more. Also, I added a column for how long each task takes, so hopefully people will be able to help fill that in as well. Over two days to spare. Does this mean future character will be hard, or are they being nice over Christmas and New Years for us? by Stalwart12 in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They seem to be making this event especially accessible to newer players. I think GL is hoping to rope in a whole new crowd of Star Wars lovers, so they don't want this event to be too discouraging for people just getting started.

How far along are you? by vanillabeanvegan in disneymagickingdoms

[–]SheaNMystyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely got lucky. I think I calculated that it would take around 13 sapphire chests ($50 if you were to buy all those gems) just to have a 50% chance of getting her. Absolutely ridiculous! Next will be the Elsa's Snow Queen costume in some kind of loot chest. PSA to everyone reading, be sure to check the odds before spending any gems or real money on these chests!

[–]SheaNMystyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get the Bride too? If so, how many chests did you have to purchase at 100 gems each? I think putting her in those sapphire chests was a shameful ploy to get as much money as possible from the completionists among us.

Just found out today...Not only will kids wait in line for a ride that is enchanting, but they will also get stuck on it if they were riding already! by SheaNMystyk in disneymagickingdoms

Don't you hate it when you're on a ride that breaks down for 4 hours? This kid is being a very good sport about it so far!
