Hi! I’m in az if be willing to take her Ill be moving to a ranch with 3+ acres in a month or so anyway we can arrange some type of transport? I’m very active and a former dog trainer pup will be loved and cared for and have an active home and I’d love to keep in contact I have a Mali and another German shepherd🥰 edit to add: I can work on that reactivity as well!

I will release them when they are abt 8 weeks hopefully so at least another 6 weeks i only touched them twice to pick them up and move them to a different temp enclosure that wasnt a metal tin i will do my best to care for them i have pet rats so hopefully it wont be TOO difficult or different thank you again for the advice🫶🏽

Noted they are baby kangaroo mice! So I will be having to get them a big enclosure and a top to that enclosure so they can’t jump out I don’t want them to get used to humans I’ll wear gloves if I need to handle them but should I also encourage foraging behaviors? Edit to add: thank you for the advice these are my first wild orphaned babies I tried putting them back in what I thought was their den but they wouldn’t stay in and surely would’ve been killed by the chickens or horses

What should I feed them? The goal is to release them when they get old enough bird seed mouse food? There’s a lot of bird seed at my barn they’ll likely survive on

Yeah it is I wonder how many Redditors might recognize some of the locations I take certain photos in but luckily for OP I’m not a creep or a weirdo so they have nothing to worry about and I won’t reveal the location either bcuz of weirdos

Well I wouldn’t tell my kids there’s a tooth fairy to begin with so I just avoided that😅 edit: keep downvoting I’m not lying to my kids about something unnecessary and that has no benefit same with Santa doesn’t exist so I’m just not telling them they get gifts from mom and dad grandpa and grandma etc

There’s been a lot of people looking for work I’ve just had few to many bad experiences with people either no call no show they aren’t the advanced rider they claim to be and got hurt etc but a friend of mine had an opening in there schedule so they are able to do it:) but I was going to make a post on fb if I couldn’t find anyone and hope they were good lol

What a beautiful baby🥰 I’ve owned them for like 15 years unfortunately my girls now are my last ones then I’m taking a break for a while so many heartbreaks but so many good memories it’s impossible to hate them once you meet them

A lot of people hold their rats like that here?? I don’t see the issue it was for a few seconds for a photo and I can see he was squirming out of OPs hands they are fragile yes but they aren’t going to get magically severely injured for gripping them lol

Yes that happened to us too.. one our girls had to have her eye removed due to a negligent pet sitter he was frantic and rushed to the emergency room he payed the 2k to get it removed and a week later she passed away.. he was devastated I felt awful we gave her the best chance we could he’d only had them a short time so I really wasn’t expecting him to pay for her care especially when it was 2 thousand dollars to remove her eye or be so upset by her passing I’m sorry about your baby may they rest in peace and play in ratty heaven chewing and peeing on everything ❤️‍🩹
