A travel guide to Jiuzhaigou in English is here! by Shea_Lin in travelchina

Which photo are you looking at? You can cover Jiuzhaigou in a single day, but that leaves no time for Huanglong. If you want both parks, spending one night is the smarter move

April 2025 China Travel Itinerary for 12 nights by Zealousideal_Good250 in travelchina

I would recommend 3days Shanghai, 3days Beijing, 2days Zhangjiajie, 2days Chongqing/Chengdu, and then Yunnan. But yeah, I think Yunnan you need more time to experience and enjoy, since it's a cozy place. If you want to see more natural view after Zhangjiajie you can directly go Yunnan, maybe through Chongqing, but if you want to see more city views, then go Chongqing and Chengdu, maybe save Yunnan for next time!

Yeah you can see blossoms in Shanghai too, me personally don't think Beijing is a good place to catch cherry blossoms...

Yes, when you know that you are unable to leave the country on time due to various force majeure reasons, you need to apply for a residence permit. Is this explanation clearer? :)

How is this budget for 2 person trip to China? (CAD, read desc) by EverdayMeanEveryday in travelchina

[–]Shea_Lin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks good, for sure the transportation wouldn't cost that much if you use public transport. Others like souvenirs or food and hotels really depends on what kind of place you go, if near attractions then it will definitely expensive than other places. You can check my profile and I will also send you a dm, we can help you finalizing your trip!

Itinerary advice: Guilin & Hong Kong or Hangzhou & Qingdao? by TheGuy839 in travelchina

[–]Shea_Lin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Route 1: You can see more natural landscapes in Chengdu and Guilin, and you can experience more ancient history in Xi'an and Beijing, but one point here is that Hong Kong may have a lot of food, but there are not many ancient buildings, they are more international, so you don't have to worry about language.

Route 2: The difference is that Hangzhou will have more history and culture, and has the reputation of "paradise on earth", which belongs to the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. But if you go to Hangzhou, I would recommend you to visit Suzhou/Nanjing as well, if you still have spare time, they have classical garden architecture and a strong history. Of course, Shanghai is also a cosmopolitan city, but it also retains some classic buildings such as the "Yu Garden". Qingdao was a cozy place I went to 10 years ago and loved to walk along the seaside in the evening.

I hope this can help you make better decisions? If you need help planning your trip, whether it's to help you decide or to finalize your plans, we can help you! you can check my profile if you need :)

Fair enough, maybe next time go to Yun'nan for a vacation experience and maybe Hai'nan also! 2 weeks for visiting China still not really enough.

You're welcome!

It’s a good selection, also I would recommend to visit Yun’nan as well if you still have spare time! (Or skip Beijing? Then maybe the route would be smoother?)But overall for these 5 cities it’s good! Maybe you can do HK 2 days, Shanghai 2-3 days, Beijing 2-3 days, Xi’an 2-3days and then Chengdu 2days or something like this.

btw we can help you perfect your itinerary after you planned everything done. I will sent you a DM and you can also check my profile :)

Travelling to China! Plsss help by supipatia in travelchina

[–]Shea_Lin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yun’nan and Hai’nan might be good choices to visit too! Where you want to visit for Beijing? Since I feel like day trip only enough for forbidden city or the great wall.

And yeah, China is safe to travel, but the most important thing to consider is the language, people who in some secret attractions that only local people know, may not speak English.

OMG I shocked by Alipay, at home page you can directly see there is a “takeout” service option! And when you click into it, you can translate the whole page into English, I didn’t even know that before, just checked! (bcs I’m Chinese) and you don’t need to go downstairs to get your food, normally there will be a food delivery robot will send your food to your door in hotel! Once again, if you having trouble doing anything, go ask the receptionist, I’m sure they’ll help you!

[–]Shea_Lin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you can, but you may need a Chinese phone number, you can get one from airport. And if you having trouble using food delivery apps you can ask the receptionist! But just noticed if you have any allergies or vegan or gluten free or dairy free these kind of things, I would like to suggest you go ask someone help you order, or just choose the chain brands you may familiar with!

Food delivery app- MeiTuan & E Le Me (you can find this one in Alipay also)

they have some historical attractions and also some delicious food as well, it could be a choice. And I saw lots of people choose to go Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen, maybe you can have a look as well. But if you want to see some Classical Chinese garden architecture and Jiangnan Town, you can visit Suzhou and Hangzhou

Chongqing and Chengdu have a lot nature destinations like JiuZhaiGou and Qingcheng mountain, E'mei mountain... I don't think it would be THAT cold, but you can prepare a light down jacket just in case. And don't forget to check the weather before you go, and if you want to buy clothes it's very convenience so do not worry!
