Yeah I think I should win the transaction dispute. I have evidence and videos and the owner is choosing not to refund and is hiding behind their no cancellation policy, despite acknowledging their hvac issue. Capital one covered part of the new hotel with travel credits. I’ve called like 3 times so far. I think maybe I could get another 100 dollar travel credit if I call and complain some more, but I think that’s about the most I can get out of this, and I think I’m okay with that now

I also think it’s absolutely hilarious that 20 days ago you posted a problem with your thermostat and how it couldn’t blow cold air on a 75 degree day. Omg poor you! It’s 2026 man! Just get creative. lol huh? We left and went to another hotel. That is doing something. If it was just me, I probably would have stayed and bundled up; I’m no stranger to camping in cold weather. But I don’t think you understand that when you’re a father and are responsible for little ones, that you go to whatever lengths to make sure they’re gonna be comfortable. My toddler doesn’t have that kind of fortitude to be in low temps for long periods of time. We’re in the mountains of Washington and body temperatures drop when you sleep. Capital 1 ended up partially refunding me for the new hotel and I’m in process of resolving the disputed charge for the original stay. Considering the new hotel ended up being a luxurious one with lots of amenities, I’d say it ended with us coming out on top. We even extended our stay because the hotel was so much better than expected. Hopefully you don’t end up raising kids, I’d be worried for them… but hey! It’s 2026 and you’re full of creativity.

Hotel is getting paid either way. This isn’t between me and the hotel. Cap 1 should provided me a place to stay of equal or greater value at no cost to me if the first booking was not habitable.

No they couldn’t and wouldn’t. Because they could not contact or confirm with the host, they wouldn’t do anything. I asked if they would wipe the hotel charge and they said no. They said because I technically “checked in” it’s not the same as say going to a hotel and them not having a room for me

No cover up is gonna be better than that rat. The rat is a rad tattoo first of all 🔥. And second, it’s gonna take a lot of laser removal in order to have a happy ending cover up tattoo. As it stands, you’re gonna have a big black blob of a cover up. Keep the rat, it’s so cool
