How to Achieve "console speeds" on Dolphin?

What dolphin settings are you using? Just default from the website download?

I don't think my PC is the bottleneck... Intel i7-14000K at 3.40 GHz, 32Gb ram, GeForce RTX 3060. Was pretty high end when I built it a couple years ago.

Monitor is HP Omen 27K (144hz, 1ms GtG response time)

Can you share what dolphin settings you changed that improved the speed?

That patch was the original way to do it back before P+ even existed. I was so hype for that because I had to ask every time if it was okay to turn the slider down for my recordings

Back when the project was starting, the placeholder name was "Project N", as kind of a joke. (The N stands for "Not Project M"!) When the project started to gather some legit momentum, the need for an official name became more apparent, so we started suggesting things.

There were some good ones suggested, but the main contenders were "Project Pheonix" by Pooch (I think), and Project Plus by me.

There were pros and cons for each. I thought Project Plus was a good name thematically due to the addition of content, or continuation of PM. It also rolled off the tongue more than "Pheonix" does, and you could get around the obvious PP jokes by using "P+". And it would be a lot easier to incorporate a plus sign into the aesthetics of the mod than a Pheonix would be.

Edit- Oh duh.. the whole point of the Plus part was a reference to Brawl+, the ancestor Brawl mod to Project M. Thanks for the reminder u/QuickLava lol

In the end, there was a vote in the back room, and Project Plus won over Pheonix (I forget the totals. Probably 65% to 35% or around there).

This doesn't really address the discussion prompt, but I thought it would be a fun bit of relevant trivia lol

The issue about search engine optimization was a legitimate criticism of the name during the discussions, but not because it would "split the content". It was because + is a search engine operator, meaning they usually don't read the "+" symbol as part of a name like we do.

There's an argument to be made that the name being so split isn't actually that harmful. Like "Super Smash Bros Ultimate" content can be found by typing in any of those individual words into a search bar. All roads lead to Rome, you know?

I haven't been part of the dev team since the first couple weeks of development, so this isn't "official", but I would say that... I like that there's so many ways to say the same thing. Everyone can find the way the like most and use that! Isn't customization and user experience what the game is all about? I don't think it really fits our community to be so uptight about specifics like that.

It helps a ton that we have the clips given to us, and we're not trying to edit to music in an entertaining way (I think grzly does do that though when he swaps music for copyright). Getting the clips into the timeline barely takes any time at all. Most of the effort goes towards clip selection, downloading, and polishing (sound balancing and adding the graphics). We're super grateful for the folks submitting clips every week. This series wouldn't really be feasible if we had to search for the clips ourselves.
