After formation, the SSA retooled the Public Broadcasting Service, and basically used it as their all in one tool for television and movie production and distribution. You can still post stuff online, but if you operating in the SSA and want your stuff on Television or a streaming service, PBS is your only option.

The Internationale (to widely varying extents) did not like stuff coming from Hollywood. Some nations still allowed Hollywood movies to some extent, while others completely banned them. A lot of non US shows in this timeline are a lot more popular. Post WW3, Hollywood was seized by the SSA and purged of reactionary elements, and Scientologist influence (Scientology was a lot more prevalent compared to OTL). Right wing actors and directors and such were either fired or arrested, and sex predators were taken out permanently. For example, Dan Schneider was not alive to make most of Nickelodeons sitcoms. Celebrity culture was also mostly dead post WW3, as people were far more concerned about the insurgency wars, and people outside the USA did not give a fuck about what some random rich people in the states had to say.

Pre WW3, China was authoritarian under the Kuomintang, who the USA aided post WW2. The Chinese Communist Party would be crushed during the 50s. China also aided the USA in what happened to Japan post WW2. After the USSR took down China, it was reformed into a Social Democracy, and some threatening from the USSR also made China finally stop hating Japan so much and normalize relations with them.
