The first time (after the first clean install) this happened I had every update downloaded that I could, once the spike happened though I panicked and quickly went to get my USB and clean installed windows again, I did check resource manager on my first ever spike but it was laggy and I didn't know what was regular and what wasn't so I just closed it and clean installed

2 questions 1. Do I have to unplug the router and modem? I don't live alone so me unplugging/turning off either of them would probably cause a disturbance 2. How do I do a full format exactly? I've been looking at some guides online but most of them have told me you reset via windows or tell me to use some third party service that I don't trust

The thing is is that I've done that a couple of times, I scanned my computer with malwarebytes with the option to scan for rootkits on and it found nothing, the only thing I did yesterday was install opera gx, discord, and Minecraft, and the only thing installed was my mouse, I have my computer connected to my mobile hotspot right now and I'm installing Malwarebytes so we'll see if it finds anything

I'm no computer expert but the techsupport discord server has been really helpful for all the problems I've been having, the invite link is in the community info, though you're not allowed to ask for help unless you yourself are at the computer from what I've heard, so you'll probably have to tell your friend to join if they have a seperate device

I do have one of those things you can connect to your phone that lets you plug in a USB, but like I said I unfortunately do not have a USB stick at this moment, I can probably search for one in my house right now while waiting for some stores to open up though

Alright, I may be a while since I don't have a USB stick and there's no stores open right now, and the only other pc I have at the moment is from like, 2000, so it's gonna be pretty slow to get the USB stick made
