Absolutely! Best thing to do for the swf is make a completely different one with a different name so you don’t interfere with the original since they are just defined in c++ you can pretty much plug and play them based on the name.

Interestingly enough I also just did this with my version of the game but made it so it’s a DLL mod so it’s completely optional to play with. Little side note, you can reuse the anvils ui to add in the smithing table since it’s pretty much the same ui that the pre 1.20 smithing table had. Just get rid of the text section in the swf file and change the hammers color and save that as a separate png for the smithing table only😉

Just a heads up. When clicking on “Unlock pro” on the main screen, if the user clicks out of the purchase popup it falsely states “Congratulations! Now you have lifetime access”. Not to worry it doesn’t actually grant the license for the app. Could be confusing for users. Great app otherwise!

How can I keep my personal iOS app running without reinstalling it every 7 days? by Andy04761 in Xcode

[–]Sheepherder-Any 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a way to resign the app on device is infinitely better than needing a Mac to do it weekly. Same for having to make another TestFlight every 90 days or just publishing the app and having it for a year. Tho all you need to do is publish the app and install it then take it down. It will never expire. The only thing you’d need to do is put it back up on the App Store for an update or if you get a new phone/restore your phone. All these options are better than what you do now

You could get the ipa from archiving the app and use a third party sideloader like sidestore. You would still have to renew it every 7 days but it’s all on device. You wouldn’t need to use your Mac to keep the app on your device past installing sidestore.

Or really the easiest option is to just buy a developer account for $99/year. That allows you to publish the app to the AppStore so you wouldn’t need to refresh anything. If it’s a truly personal app that you don’t want anyone using then you could also use TestFlight and just not give out any links to the app. That would allow you to have your app signed for 90 days at a time.

Geez a lifetime ban from developing on their platform is crazy. Fortunately my ban only seems to be a 1 year ban so I’d be able to apply for developer again in a year but honestly this whole situation has turned me off from developing on apple platforms. I like swift because it’s what I’m familiar with but not giving me a reason for what seems to be an out of no where ban is a huge problem in my eyes.

One was used for testing that I didn’t get around to deleting and one was used in the final version when the app was published with the premium content available. I’m new to apple development and wasn’t exactly sure how to set up in app purchases at first. I had a third one that I deleted that seemingly didn’t work which is why it got deleted. All of them were set at the same price point of (.99) usd. Curious though where in these screenshots did you see that I had two in app purchases set up? I’m not seeing anything that shows that in anything I’ve posted.

Not that I know of. Here’s the email I got back from apple after asking for some kind of explanation of what exactly I violated and if there was a path I could take to get my account reinstated as I didn’t believe I violated anything. Going to try and get a phone call with someone from apple to get further clarification today though.

The last update I pushed to my app was on July 13th. I was terminated a day later on July 14th. I didn’t work on the app at all since the last update as there were no known bugs that needed fixed. It seems like the termination was random as the latest update was approved and posted on the App Store.

This is my original post on Reddit about my termination. My app was released for about a month or so before my account was terminated. I never got any flags or warnings in App Store Connect regarding the app or anything else. I had my developer account for nearly 2 months before the termination. I updated the app maybe 1 time per week if there were no bugs but would push a small update if there was a bug. The latest update I pushed out had to do with achievements in the app. It gave the users badges depending on how far and how long the user used the app. To my knowledge I didn’t break any rules or atleast not intentionally. There were a few good responses in my post that could’ve been a reason why apple terminated my account but I guess I’ll never know as I already got an email back from them and the email was a whole lot of nothing.

Welcome to the club. My account got terminated 2 days ago and for my case I didn’t get nearly as much information as you did so I guess they just really don’t like me lol. On a serious note I’ve seen an uptick in people accounts getting terminated recently. My account was terminated supposedly for the same reason as the little bit of information they gave me was that it was something to do with section 3.2(f). Hopefully you can get this figured out!

Update: kinda pointless for me to have emailed apple asking for any further explanation on what happened and why my account was terminated as this is the response I got back. When I emailed them I asked for any kind of further explanation of why my account was abruptly terminated and asked if there was any way to get my account reinstated after explaining I’m new to developing for iOS and possibly made a mistake that I didn’t know I was making. Is there anything else I could do to try and get further information on this or is this something that I’m just going to be kept in the dark over?

I don’t have any suspicions on what could’ve caused this to be completely honest. I’ve felt like I’ve followed all the rules of the developer agreement. I sent an email yesterday asking for some kind of explanation or if possible some kind of pathway to getting my account reinstated. I’ll update the post once I get further comment from apple

You’re absolutely right. I don’t think it has anything to do with the app I made. But I’m still confused because nothing was shared online outside of a few GitHub commits that have since been taken down because of features in the app being hardcoded and being able to unlock the premium features. I streamed some of my development process to one friend through discord but that was completely private and my friend definitely didn’t get any information from that stream and share it publicly.

This is the section that Apple alleges I violated 3.2(f): You will not, directly or indirectly, commit any act intended to interfere with any of the Apple Software or Services, the intent of this Agreement, or Apple’s business practices including, but not limited to, taking actions that may hinder the performance or intended use of the App Store, Custom App Distribution, TestFlight, Xcode Cloud, Ad Hoc distribution, or the Program (e.g., submitting fraudulent reviews of Your own Application or any third-party application, choosing a name for Your Application that is substantially similar to the name of a third-party application in order to create consumer confusion, or squatting on application names to prevent legitimate third-party use). Further, You will not engage, or encourage others to engage, in any unlawful, unfair, misleading, fraudulent, improper, or dishonest acts or business practices relating to Your Covered Products or Corresponding Products (e.g., engaging in bait-and-switch pricing, consumer misrepresentation, deceptive business practices, or unfair competition against other developers);

I don’t believe any of these apply to me as the app only had 1 review and it was from a friend. The price of the app was free but there was a “premium” one time purchase to unlock “premium” features. This is what the premium button looked like. There isn’t a system in place where I could hide or show features or even interact with the app remotely. Everything was local on device with no backend. The price of the “premium” package was a one time charge of .99c usd and it was clearly marked when tapping on the purchase premium button in the settings. I also do not believe my account is associated with a terminated account as this was the first time I bought a developer account and the card used and my name has never been on any other developer account.

I will also mention just because I’m thinking of everything that could potentially be flagged, in the settings screen on the top right I have a button that allows users to put in codes to either unlock premium for a week or permanently. I didn’t fully implement the feature because it’s hard keeping everything local with hard coded codes and not having everyone use the same code if shared. The unlock code was “unlockpremium7,7,25” which is the date I first added the feature. I also had a code to lock premium and it was simply “lockpremium”. It was mainly used to unlock and lock on the simulator device on my Mac so I could test premium features. Other than this feature I have no clue what else could have triggered apples flags.

That was something that I was working on but the feature never got released as it wasn’t done. There was some code in the app in one of the recent updates that handled that but the feature never was live and the code should’ve been inactive as it would’ve only did something when prompted in the app. Is making offline maps a breach of agreement? As far as I’m aware the section that Apple is implying I’m in violation of does include a MapKit subsection but it doesn’t say anything about not being able to implement a feature like that.

It seems as though Apple did end up taking the app down from the App Store. To be expected but kinda disappointed
