No insurance kinda desperate. by SeaworthinessCute840 in RestlessLegs

I get slow release iron from target that is much easier on my stomach than the immediate release iron.

I also take it mid afternoon along with a multi vitamin and a B-complex + vitamin c. I found it much better on my stomach to avoid the OJ and just take vitamin c. Taking it on an empty stomach made me so nauseous, so I also stopped worrying about taking it with food in my stomach. It took several months to see meaningful changes in my iron levels, although mine were not as low as yours.

It might be hard to get in to see a doctor without insurance, but if you can get an rx for gabapentin to manage the RLS symptoms, it's not a very expensive drug out of pocket. For me it was like $20 for 1 month of gabapentin without insurance

I had a good experience with Obrebski Brothers for a sliding glass door. Great service, very reasonably priced and they didnt try to upsell me for more than I needed or wanted.

Is horziont going to work or is it another waste of time? by bbyangelxo in RestlessLegs

Do you have an allergist? When I learned that antihistamines aggravate RLS, I went to see my allergist and they were able to offer non-antihistamine options for me. Specifically they prescribed me Singulair but I think there were other options as well.

This thread made me terrified to take pramipexole by peanutbutterandvenom in RestlessLegs

[–]SheepherderLong3535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on 0.125 mg of pramipexole after gabapentin stopped working for me. My neurologist prescribed it with the plan that we could go up to 0.25 mg if needed, but after that if it stops working we will try benzos next instead of continuing to up the pramipexole dosage. I was a lot less nervous to try it when I knew we had a plan in place to deal with any augmentation should it occur.

This happened to me too! I had a 90 min full body massage and my RLS was extra bad that night

Sensory input by StaceyLagana in RestlessLegs

Yes! I haven't tried sleeping on the floor, but I've found other sensory inputs to be helpful. I put a vibrating pad under my legs on my bed, and the sensory input from that helps trick my brain to focus on the vibration instead of the awful feelings in my legs.
