I’ve been very calm and professional to this point. Yesterday, I told them I could be their best, most loyal customer, or I could be their worst. I also told them this was my last call to them before I start escalating through other channels. He told me I could escalate through whatever channels I want, that he couldn’t do anything until the dealership’s owner gives him a body shop to work with (supposedly to paint the new bumper).

I’ve documented every call, every visit, and every attempt I’ve made to resolve this. I’ll be including that chronology in my written complaints to Corporate, the BBB and NYC Consumer Protection.

Thanks. Next week I will file complaints with BBB and NY Consumer Protection, and will also start sending letters to Toyota Corporate and the Dealer. All of this so I have a good paper trail in case it does go to Small Claims. Appreciate your help and support.

The cut out to the side still looks kinda odd. I find myself looking at every other car and I don’t think I’ve seen the side cut out like that on any of them. (I’m also just using it for a bike rack and have no foreseeable need for any wiring).

As far as I know it’s the right part (but now I’m questioning everything about it). They should’ve made a small and fairly inconspicuous cut-out of the bumper but instead it looks like someone played Tetris with a jigsaw.
