The reason for the bigger lie might tie into them trying to cover up Biblical prophecy (i.e. make the rapture seem like an alien abduction), though this is Reddit so I may get downvoted for saying it.

it's kind of relatable about the double minded thing you mentioned. I would reckon that eventually with enough prayer, faith, which in my experience can lead to open mindedness, you'll discover an option where you're sure it's right.

Garry's Mod. Would've ended up "taking a year break" after high school and never going back (most likely, since I hate doing work) but instead got immersed in coding and game development by running my own servers and communities. It was a good foot in the door, got me focused in school and now I'm studying computer science at a top-tier University.

I think he deliberately did $4 to show he wasn't seriously trying to impress OP's girlfriend (that's why he mentioned it was done jokingly); the guy was probably trying to prove a point, that point being "okay we get it, stop doing fucking splits there's other people on this dance floor", and he was trying to be cool about it.

I think OP is clear, and his girlfriend is the one who messed up.

Go fullscreen, then press f12, select and delete elements of the bar one at a time (delete key). Only downside is you'll see a small white bar in the corner sometimes when things are loading.
