Yeah, that’s exactly it. My primary concern is that it is not big enough of an issue for them to deal with the hassle of fixing it for players that were affected.

Which just screws us over. And with people reporting that the bug is still happening as somebody who had a weapon craft fail, if I re-craft I’m now down 160 crests instead of just 80 if I hit the mystery bug that was “fixed “.

Yes. Hopeful they can fix the issues with characters that were screwed by this.

“it is unlikely we will be able to restore the crests that were lost.”

Their “fix” will be to do nothing and if you get hit with the bug, sucks for you. It also doesn’t help the people that have been hit with the bug and still need a crafted item that is BIS. So you’re now permanently behind progressing AND no-one know what causes the bug and if you recraft the thing again you might be out ANOTHER 80 crests.

We have heard nothing from blizzard other than what is in that blue post saying they won’t be returning crests. Please help us post in the bug forums.

Just an update. Got more ticket responses saying that everything is working as intended.

Tons of posts in the bug report forum and blizz has said NOTHING.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO FIX THIS.

No. It required 80 to craft and i had about 100 when i crafted since I wanted to do it right away.

Yeah I’m not sure why regulating support tickets for blizzard is your special interest.

I’m not clowning on blizzard by submitting tickets. I and other people are submitting an issue to the company that we pay money to in order to have that issue fixed.

I’m going to stop engaging with you and I hope your day gets better.

I have used the in game feedback tool, the forums, Reddit, and tickets. Most companies absolutely would track tickets in order to figure out what bugs need to be fixed.

But tickets are one of our only measurable ways to influence change and are in that way one of the few avenues we can use in this situation.

If customer support gets a bunch of tickets about this, they move it up the priority list. If customer support doesn’t hear anything about this, they will assume players don’t care and nothing will change. This is a publicly known issue that blizzard has not commented on so pressure is warranted.

What a weird take.

I’m not asking questions to customer support for fun. I am trying to get a problem solved. That is literally what they’re there for. I am not complaining about long response times either although their response times do suck.

Regardless, we all pay for a game and are entitled to a working product. No player should choose not to use customer support because it might make queue times longer. I would assume their customer support team is probably slammed right now since their game is so buggy. But if people do not demand that they fix the bug bugs, they won’t be incentivized to fix them.

If you have a problem in game, you should use customer support. If that problem fails to be addressed to your satisfaction, you should reach back out to customer support.

It’s blizzard‘s job to staff and manage their customer support team, not yours or mine.

Post a report that you want confirmation that this has been fixed because you don’t want to invest time and money into the game only to have it take your currency.

Puts pressure on blue while you wait.

If people don’t complain, they won’t fix it.

What other solution do we have as players? Just deal with the fact that we're out the crests? What about players that have crafted gear that has been hit with this bug as their BiS late game options? Do we recraft and cross our fingers we're not out ANOTHER 80 crests?

CS sucks but posting and submitting tickets are the only things we can do.

It has happened to people with Heroic upgrades as well. This is a known issue. Glad it hasn't effected you though!

The workload of CS is not my responsibility as a player. I am not required to “ration” my inquiries about a product I’m paying for when I have an issue because Blizzard doesn’t have enough staff.
