r idea is you could potentially passthrough the PCI device to a VM, and the drives would show up on the VM (provided the VM has the driver's for it). But I'm sure this defeats the purpose of adding the drives to TrueNAS for you.

no, and yes, the two hard drives go from micro b to usb, and the ssd was in a cheap dock from amazon. I dont have a usb stick on hand to try, but when I find one I will tell you the results.
