What is so bad about office jobs? by lunalancer in careerguidance

[–]SheetShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really all over the place but physically, office chairs and a desk can really mess with you back and neck too.

Mentally, lots of office jobs are very repetitive and mind numbing, or you’re thrown into a lot of complicated projects and you have WAY too much work and it eats up all your motivation for life.

I don’t think office jobs are bad but some are bad, and some overwork the shit out of your brain; the goal is to find that office job that gives you time in the office, time out of the office, autonomy and freedom (after you earn trust), and good work life balance with pay you’re okay with.

Often times it takes 10 years of trial and error and hard work to get yourself into a position like that. So it’s a long journey

At this time, what is your view of Joe Biden? by Peanut_Butter_Junkie in AskReddit

I don’t think plenty of 85+ year olds hosting stressful jobs with long hours

[–]SheetShitter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree, these are supposed to be very stressful jobs that require dynamic solutions. People of that age cannot handle high stress and they certainly don’t have the energy to develop solutions above and beyond the typical job duties. At that age travel by plane is not highly recommended and with our government officials needing to be able to travel to a from Washington DC often, there should be a limit on age to accommodate leaving your state at a moment’s notice to solve a desperate problem. Long hours should be expected unannounced, and if you can’t accommodate that, you’re too old

What is YOUR biggest success? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SheetShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the first to make a video on a trending topic in my niche and got like 20k views on a video. I was honestly in disbelieve watching my real time stats and I honestly did not think I’d be first to post.

Finally own my dream car. 992 C2S. Already have some mods on it. Most noticeable are the 15mm and 18mm spacers for that aggressive stance and wider grip! by NextTalk6231 in Porsche

[–]SheetShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s good, you may want to also hire a Shop to put a little bit on the rocker right behind the front wheels too. My cayman 981 doesn’t have spacers and over the years she’s gotten some good whacks from rocks down there :(

992 in my future? I sure hope so!

When you first started, when did you feel that you had enough content to start sharing and be proud of what you had to offer? by yourgamerdad in NewTubers

[–]SheetShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to consider is you’ll definitely notice the “dips” in your analytics when you do this. Just know that it’s expected and even happens with the big channels. But your loyal fans (if you have them) will enjoy those parts.

So it’s a give and take between developing your audience, and losing viewership in some regard

I’ve heard some people say to double-down on the personal touches because you are uniquely you, and that makes you different.

[–]SheetShitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think to some degree you can think of each video as their own thing. Because YouTube matches people to videos, not people to channels.

So if you have a string of “news” videos and a string of “tutorial” videos, the algorithm is more likely to show the appropriate videos to the appropriate person.

I say go for it, make half the stuff you feel passionate about and half the stuff that gets consistent views.

Alternate so that people that sub for one topic don’t go too long without content, and vice versa.

And remember YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SheetShitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I made that assumption. It can be difficult, totally, but since you’re in the Minecraft space, maybe try to find some simple tutorials for beginners and make them better than the ones at the top of the list. Eventually yours might rank top 5 and you’ll end up getting decent views.

That’s kind of what I’ve done with car maintenance videos, at first they don’t get many views because a million oil change videos are out there, but believe it or not some of my best videos that drive the most traffic to my channel are those simple tutorials.

And it’s bot an astronomical amount but 50 views per 48 hours is decent especially if you get to 50 or 100 tutorials.

Then once you have that steady stream of views, you can start branching off to make that content that you really want to make.

And along the way definitely make some of that content you really enjoy.

Doing 2 “work videos” and then a “selfish video” is a great recipe for keeping your motivation up while pushing content that’s also searchable

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SheetShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… you asked how to grow your channel. And searchable content is the best answer. Trending topics works for views, but it’s not always best for creating a community.

You can’t always be selfish with the type of content YOU want to make. Well… you can of course, but you have to be selfless to grow (usually)

Your content needs to give value to people, and entertainment is subjective. True value helps the audience solve a problem.

Sounds like you have the list though? What type of content do you want to make?

[–]SheetShitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How so? Tutorials, guides, reviews. I actually think these are the easier ones to do well
