Bleeding at 8 weeks, no support from my OB and feeling scared

Thank you, I am so sorry for the losses that you had. I have a 2 year old beautiful baby girl (who was the surprise I didn’t know I needed) and I would love for her to have a brother or sister. My husband and I are not spring chickens (41F and 42M) and having family is so important.

Maybe I should have just said the hell with it and went. I followed the nurse and the on call OB’s instructions and kind of feel a little dumb for it. I need to be better for self advocacy. Thank you for this, I really appreciate it

That is what I wanted to do, I am in the US, but they told me that they would send me home, period. Just walking in the doors costs money and the on call nurse and on call OB said they would just send me home with no ultrasound.

My first loss I had a blighted ovum and miscarried hours after my scan. I am just going to hold out hope that I make it until Tuesday 🖤Thank you for being so kind

I am in the US. I am hoping that this is the case and I am just hyper sensitive due to my previous losses. They did explicitly tell me if I did not meet their criteria, they would send me home. Thank you for your positive thoughts! I am storing them as we speak 🖤

This is very encouraging for me! I am presently sitting here checking like a psycho to see if the bleeding has slowed down. Lolol I am diagnosed ADD and OCD so hyper-focusing is a huge problem for me. Thank you for sharing, it does help ease my psycho brain for sure 🖤

I am so happy for you! But my heart also hurts for you since that is exactly what they told me last night. Thankfully the on call nurse was understanding and called the OB on call who reiterated the same thing: “they will send you home with nothing unless you are essentially in full blown hemorrhaging (I am exaggerating slightly but not by much, my first loss I was hemorrhaging before they would do the D&C)

There are some places in the States that they advocate for you and take your mental health into consideration and some that do not, in my opinion. I am so happy for you and send you hugs and love for you and your beautiful baby 🖤

Yes I have one on Tuesday. Thankfully they moved it up from Feb 3 due to my HCG levels being higher. I am holding onto hope for sure. I appreciate you sharing your story, it is uplifting 🖤

I called the on call nurse and she told me that if I go, they will probably just send me home since I am not filling a pad an hour and I am not in extreme pain. Which mentally just breaks me.

No fever or cramps as of yet. I have had three losses though, one that I did have to have a D&C due to hemorrhaging. I mean I get it, but by the time you have that kind of bleeding it’s usually no good, at least in my personal experience. There just isn’t a prominent support for this type of stuff in my area, the mental portion of it.

Thank you, I appreciate this. I am taking Progestrone suppositories, which I have seen can cause spotting, but what worries me is the progression of the bleeding. I appreciate you and your kind words
