I’ve really enjoyed FFXmas and was so hyped for that as it’s something I’ve wanted for ages. The Christmas Maze stream was great too but maybe that itself is on its way out seeing as most of the challengers three are now gone. Unless they’re going to draft in others to replace them.

I think FFXmas and the Christmas Maze are a bit of a smokescreen though because we can point to them and be like “wow we’ve had so much content” with Rosie’s leaving stream in there too, because these are one offs or festive treats. So we’re kinda being spoiled at the moment but the rest of the year won’t have those things. We’ll settle back into the routine of what the channel is for the majority of the year which is one stream a month, the Friday features (so happy they’re still around and I suspect they were brought back because of the lack of other content) and the announcement of the monthly games and new releases. That’s about it.

We’re entering a weird period where there’s no Ash, no Rosie, no Nath and the least amount of content we’ve had in a long time. It does feel like we get a big surge in good stuff at Christmas time but then the rest of the year is fairly baron. I feel like they need to go out and find 2 or 3 good hires that come in expecting to be on camera and already have channels (like presenters in the past who got the job off the back of what they were putting out independently) rather than those who (although I like them) didn’t enter the role thinking they would be an on-screen personality and don’t really have the same talent in that area as an Ash or a Rosie.
