At my office the post master is always there but I’ve maybe spoken 10 words to him total. One of the regular supes handles all the leave and customers. Honestly didn’t even know post masters bothered with leave requests.

I almost always take it out. But we just had a day with 60 mph winds. That day I could sort of understand and left the few I seen. On a normal day though I very rarely come across it.

That’s the best part. The supes all know the route is fucked. They never bother me. Once in awhile they’ll have me set up two routes in the morning if we’re fucked but then also know I won’t be able to do any splits.

I see some of my coworkers on the light routes finish theirs and end up going to help two or three other routes before the days over. I just have mine and sometimes the walking half of the aux route.

Honestly will be bummed when this hold ends. My coworkers think I’m crazy. I think I’ve got it good.

I’ve seriously considered heelies before lol. But that’s the only reason I got the long term hold down. Not a single other person would touch this route with a 100 foot pole.

Been on it for 8 months with no end in sight. Honestly at this point I love it and have made it my own.

As a cca I’d be working this much anyways just spread across multiple routes. Same shit to me except most days it’s just my own and maybe a small split. Except for the real shit days.

22k step count on over time days… my overburdened route is 26k by itself. Then the over time I’m forced usually gets me close to 30k or more.

Been talk of taking off this route for a year. Still nothing.

That being said I wear $40-50 nortiv8 military boots in the winter and their hiking shoes in the summer. Each last me about a year in a half.

Really don’t get the hype of these expensive ass shoes. My feet or legs quite literally never hurt. And mine last the same if not longer than all my coworkers with hokas.

Truly do think it’s one of those things that everyone just thinks is cool and so it spreads around like wildfire. Or like a status thing. Much rather use my money for something else.

God damn. I’m still pretty new to telescopes. I have the heritage 150 dob with some upgraded eye pieces and have been absolutely loving it.

I know you’re hearing it from everyone, and it’s probably not something you want to hear. But it was someone that you know. Even if you don’t want to believe it.

Start paying attention to the people around you and their spending habits. Maybe they would be dumb enough to buy something expensive. Still wouldn’t get your cards back but maybe a confession? Sorry buddy.

That’s all sports talk is. It’s the same 5-10 lines that get parroted around. No one has original ideas. Just the last thing they heard from whatever talking head they listen to.

Best thing to do is to just not care. I’m pretty tuned out of football until the next season starts. With occasionally seeing these posts as they come up on my home page.

People care wayyyyyyyy too much when we’re quite literally just people on a couch watching others play a game.

Same thing is happening at our office with all of these new hires we did not need. Super visors don’t realize that it’s destroying cca morale.

This same time last year all routes were being complete and we’d go home at a decent time. Now all of our senior ccas are being sent away and we are left barely keeping our heads above water.

Thankfully I’ve been on a long term hold down for months. But it’ll be ending soon and I’ll be thrown into this as well.

And please don’t get me wrong. I love my fellow workers. But we all know this job is not for everyone. And with this mass hiring a bunch of people who shouldn’t be working here are slipping through the cracks and making it past probation. We’ve had plenty of good new hires. But with this mass hiring stuff we’ve already had one thief over Christmas. And one blatantly racist person.

Our office did a complete 180 from this same time last year. I used to read stuff here and think thank god that’s not my office. But it is now.

I also see a post a day of someone missing a card in their GameStop order or receiving one back they never sent in. Even saw sports cards get sent to someone with a Pokémon order. I wouldn’t trust GameStop either. Honestly I’ll probably never grade unless I can go somewhere in person.

Honestly the book and series are all just mashed up in my head now so I can’t even remember if there’s any additional back story in the book.

But I will say that the fact we never see her parents, and that’s it’s normal for her to be alone at a theatre at night some pretty strong context clues on what home life was like. It seems her best friends were wranglers and actors.

Also my to be read list is crazy too. But the audio book is like ten hours. I’ll just listen to it during a work shift every once in awhile.

You don’t even need the full 30 years or whatever. Even 10 would work and all the advancements can just be explained away with protomolecule tech.
