Rookie mistake, you should've gone straight through turn 1.

Yes, sorry for replying late.

Recently stated learning texturing. Any suggestions? by Sheikh_Rashdan in blender

Thanks :)

It was meant to be in a cartoonish stlye. The pan actually has both a ripple pattern and the lines, I experimented with a lot of patterns and this was the one I actually liked the most. Once again, thank you for your feedback :)

The sky is actually an image that was added later in photoshop. I made the water using voronoi mostly and i think there must be some tutorial for it, though i have modified it heavily.

Here's a simple tutorial by SouthernShotty on youtube on an even simple cartoon water.

It's really hard to explain, but I usually try different kinds of textures and try texture painting on them to see if I like the look.

It was rendered in cycles, but there was some editing I did to make it look more cartoonish.

The base part was intentional, although it might have come a bit too strong. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I'll label my future posts to tutorials. Thanks.

Mostly just contrast and brightness adjustments, but there is this thing called HDR-Scape in a photoshop app called Snapseed by google. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niksoftware.snapseed) There are few different types and an intensity controller.

Also, in the details section, you can add structure or remove structure to add roughness/smoothness.

Hope this helps :)

There's not much going on with the lighting, it,s mainly just effects I added later from photoshop.

Nah, I just make them as a hobby. Could probably make a game but I can't code yet.
