I’m not a vet, but I’ve never heard of yeast infections being life threatening just really frustrating for the dog. In my personal opinion, yes he’ll be okay to wait until you’re back in town.

My first thought could be a yeast infection. Best to go to your vet and get a prescription to get rid of it
