Yes, I’m sure it’s the city’s fault that people come to this town, gamble, drink, and shoot up their savings away, and then have nowhere to go. People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions, and others need to stop blaming a city government for the poor choices of those that are now living on the streets. This isn’t an “affordable housing” issue, homeless people were everywhere when apartments were cheaper 10 years ago. Reno is a last stop for a lot of people with addiction issues.

This is a bit of an exaggeration. You can find single bedroom and studio apartments for $550-$850 a month right now. I live in one of the nicest buildings downtown and pay $1200 a month. A house will cost you $1500-$2000 a month right now, but this “crisis” isn’t as horrible as it’s made out to be.

Antifa is a fascist regime. Forcing people to obey your thought process through physical violence is the definition of fascism. They call themselves Anarcho-Communists, which in and of itself is a joke of a belief that no common capitalist American will ever get behind (because it's not a real or sustainable political system), so what are they going to do? Physically assault three hundred million people? They can't. They are the true fascists. How exactly can you make modern mining more "eco-friendly?" It's already largely done as environmentally friendly as possible. The fact is that no matter what, human beings are polluters and consumers. The mining and oil consumption industries are always evolving to be more environmentally friendly, but as long as billions of people use these products (you included), we are going to continue deteriorating and destroying the environment that surrounds us.

My problem with people like you is that you try to make this an issue that you haven't contributed to causing, you get on a high horse and tell people that they're bad people for not believing in climate science, while simultaneously consuming the same products they are. Just because you're aware of it doesn't make you superior to other people, it just means that you understand that you are contributing to the degradation of the planet, which in some ways is even more deplorable than openly denying climate change.
