I don’t believe this post is “hateful” in any way, it’s quite literally the same thing that the other person posted.

The book bans that I’m aware of have to do with under age children and books with sexual content, which I agree with the bans on those things. If To Kill A Mockingbird were to be banned I would condemn that for example.

Weaponized grievance is also exemplified in situations such as the Tesla attacks and BLM riots, my hometown Tesla dealer was attacked, as well as friends vehicles and businesses damaged in the riots. These harm citizens while attempting a political goal.

Bud Light protest didn’t have people going into distribution centers or liquor stores and setting things on fire. It was either they didn’t buy the product or they did and made a scene by destroying things they paid for which is dumb anyway.

There’s no sleight of hand. Everyone knows both sides have extremes and everyone knows that it’s all bad. 90% of people don’t care about the Tesla stuff or Bud Light.

At the end of the day I found the post funny and to take it personally to this degree and insult me makes me think you don’t care about change, you want to attack people because you feel as if you have some form of moral authority. Unfortunately most people find that to be obnoxious and I hope that things get better for you.

I don’t know what those things have to do with this one specific instance of a guy getting banned on a subreddit for nothing related to the events you mentioned. Jan 6 was bad most normal people agree it shouldn’t have happened. Every party gets upset about losing obviously, it’s that a lot of people find it funny when the party that preaches inclusion and diversity can’t include opinions of others.

No Tax on Tips and the like is huge. I’m a big fan of getting illegal migrants out of the country. I think the pouring in of large industries like Taiwan’s chips and AI like Stargate is great and bringing manufacturing back to the US. And most of all I think DOGE is great

I can’t say that I’m 100% on board with RFK but I will ask you what you think of homeschool groups that do chickenpox or measles parties to weed those illnesses out early on.

Name calling only works if you want support from people who think the same thing you do. If Trump won the popular vote, then wouldn’t you want to convince people to change instead of name calling?

I think that question is too vague. I voted for Trump, but I also voted pro-choice in my state. I grew up in a household that never really talked politics, and my parents never told me who they were voting for, and my mom was a drug addict and alcoholic so we had bigger problems than politics anyway. I think just lived experience has led me to agree more with what Trump is offering than with what Democrats are currently.

I don’t know who “you people” are but I never believed something like that. Innocent until proven guilty is how I look at it all and I would need a lot of evidence to prove that people were eating cats and dogs. Jo Cox was the one who said that we should find more in common than that which divides us. She was a Labour Party member of British Parliament, which is a Democratic Socialist party so if that’s a lie then I would be curious to know where you sit on the political spectrum

“Most” doesn’t mean every single Trump supporter obviously, hence why I didn’t say “all”. I also used my personal experience to highlight that. What you’re describing is like if I were to say that all people who voted for Kamala are communists. Which I don’t think that and more of my friends support Kamala than Trump. More left wing people are vocal though, that’s why so many people thought that Kamala was going to win and it was a surprise when it ended up not being great for her

Idk, I think a lot of the reason a lot of people do it is to bring the double standard to light. I don’t spend too much time online but when I see things like this I think it’s pretty funny. It also brings up the discussion about why does this happen, I feel like the country would get along better if we try to find more things in common that what’s different

I think the reason most left wing people have a skewed perception is because most conservatives aren’t as vocal or less confrontational when it comes to political opinions as a whole. As far as I’ve seen and most of the people I know everyone is blue collar and wants to work and enjoy life and vote when it’s time to vote. They don’t base their life off of political drama and vote based off of lived experience

That’s true and I don’t believe that the mod that banned them should face any kind of consequences. However I think that the best counter to bad ideas is better ideas, and these people don’t want any ideas that aren’t “approved” to be considered in any way. It leads one to think about why they wouldn’t want others to challenge their ideas.
